woah ... how quickly this weekend flew by. i'm getting married THIS WEEKEND ... so i spent this past weekend packing up all the "stuff" for the villa barone (and boy, there's a lotttt of it!!). i've got last minute things to take care of this week ... filling groomsmens flasks, writing thank you's to the bridal party to include with their gifts, finishing packing for honeymoon, buying flowers for RD centerpieces ... nothing crazy, but still lots to do.  my dads family (20 of us total) is going to the yankee game on wednesday, so that should be a great time. then thursday rehearsal dinner and friday is the ultimate countdown. 

hope everyone else has a super productive week!!!!

Not much done over the weekend. My sis and I went to the Palisades looking for her MOH dress and there is pretty much NO stores that sell plus size dresses. We found a couple in Macys and would have bought the one we liked but there were a couple of snags in it. We are hoping to find it maybe in the Macys down here this weekend. Also we will look into Davids Bridal.

my bridal shower was on saturday. it was a surprise (although i kinda figured it out lol). awesome time. all of us went out after for my bachelorette (yea it was early, but whatever!). had a freaking awesome time!!!!! spent yesterday opening and organizing the gifts, i still can't believe how generous people were. i'm very lucky to have my family and friends  

i also spent most of yesterday sleeping recuperating from saturday night lol

before all that though i had finished most of the invitations, have a few left that there were some questions about. gotta do that this week, although they're not going in the mail for at least two more weeks.

Finished the wedding DJ sheet and I'm sending over to the DJ today. Set up appointments with the venue and the dj for next weekend to finalize details.

Went to my uncles for a family reunion on Sat great time.

I had an awesome weekend. FI doesn't get much weekend time off based off his rotating schedule and we had a blast together this weekend. We are approaching 500 days and really don't have much of anything done, so I am starting to get back into wedding planning.  I sat down with my very crafty mom yesterday to talk about some of the DIY projects I want to tackle. She seemed to think they are all doable and liked the ideas, which was great.

I have to take care of my Thank You's this week from our engagement party. I feel like such a horrible person but timing wasn't great the end of the semester & working like 50 hrs a week.  I am getting them done tonight for sure!!

I just bought some supplies over the weekend to make myself a bracelet for the day of. And this week I need to finish invitation wording to send to the designer, oh and QUIT my job!!!! So excited!!! I got an offer today that I am completely happy about taking so new job for me come June 1st.

Congrats Amanda on your wedding this weekend!!!!

We had our cake tasting on Saturday and decided on a fun wedding cake- alternating chocolate cake and yellow sponge with a layer of canolli cream and a layer of chocolate mousse. 

We also agreed on the entrance song for our Bridal Party (Stand by Me).  So far, music choices have been the most challenging for us.  We have such a hard time coming to agreements on music!

We had our cake tasting on Saturday. Two layers Vanilla "cupcake" cake with a chocolate cake layer in the middle and a layer of canolli cream and a layer of chocolate mousse.

We also discussed our   intro songs for the reception! (Have to contact our DJ to see how much time we need. Is a minute enough for 6 groups, or should we go with another song which would be 1:45?

Also on Friday we went out with friends -  a co-ed night out before the wedding!

This week our photo and dj papers are due! Can't believe it's so close!

I'm in the middle of my reception site search. FI and I went to Greentree in New Rochelle. It was beautiful!

Then I spent way too much time staring at the big pile of menus I've been accumulating over the past few months. Craziness.

Saturday was my brothers graduation so no wedding related activities.

yesterday- did a bunch of last minute errands for the big day, ironed FI's RD outfit, and packed my bag for thursday and friday night!!

Kristen12345: I'm getting married at the Greentree in August!

I hadn't planned on getting much done.  Then I ealized my brother's b-day is this weekend and Memorial Day weekend the next-then June! So I decided last minute to finally pick up my dress on Saturday which came in in February. Yea! There was one odd stitch under the dress, which my friend spotted but they fixed it no problem.  Then on Sunday I dropped it off at the alterations place.  Today I went back to get fitted and my mom got to try on some dresses and she may have found the one. Yea!

I can't wait to do the cake tasting:)
