Wequassett

Has anyone had problems with Wequassett before?  I am getting married there and it has been an uphill battle since the beginning. The sales person sells you one thing and once you sign the contract everything they tell you in the sales pitch is a lie.  The wedding is approaching and the answer to all of my questions/requests is No.  It has been a very frustrating process and I would look elsewhere if you are thinking of getting married here.

    <div>Dear Wequassett Bride,</div><div>
</div><div>I am actually a recent Wequassett Bride.  I was lucky enough to married there on June 2nd of 2012.  I had my wedding, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and brunch ALL on the Wequassett property and all managed by the Wequassett staff and catering department. That is four(4) wedding events and each went off without a hitch and were PERFECT! More than I  could have ever dreamed of and everyone who came has not stopped raving about the food and the service throughout the entire weekend which lasted from Thursday to Sunday.</div><div>
</div><div>I am sorry to hear about your dissapointing experience but I have to say I experienced the COMPLETE OPPOSITE.  I have had many friends get married before me and know it can be an extremely emotional and challenging experience but you have to be flexible about how you get to the end product.  </div><div>
</div><div>I will say first hand, without question, nothing Wequassett says in their sales pitch is a lie. In my opinion, that is impossible given they have every element laid out for the bride and her family in pamplets, packages, and contracts.  My father is a lawyer and would never have settled for any misrepresentation from the start to the finish.  Maybe if you review where you started, you may see ways in which you misunderstood prior conversations.  Being a bride is very overwhelming and communication can be overwhelming with everyone from the venue to your family.  They could not possibly deliver an alternative product given their very thorough and detailed process from the beginning of our discussions.  I started talking to them a year out from my wedding date.  </div><div>
</div><div>The only time when I heard the answer NO to any of my questions was when I was asking for something that would be unsafe (i.e. sparklers) or too costly on my budget. They were all very upfront about the options and the opportunities to add things to the wedding but always treated my best interest as the top priority.</div><div>
</div><div>I have only been married once but the experience of getting married at Wequassett was more than I could have hoped for!  Everyone who works there was amazing, not only to me and my husband, but to all of our guests.  I know numerous other people who got married there before me, over the past 10 years, and everyone has had the same reaction to this wonderful and magical place.</div><div>
</div><div>I hope you find a way to enjoy the process more leading up to your wedding.  You will see how dedicated and supportive they are on the wedding weekend, I do not doubt that for a second.  </div><div>
    </div><div>Good Luck!</div><div>

  • Glad your experience has been better than mine.  I have heard mixed reviews.  I will make sure to post an update with a full critique post wedding day.  Here's hoping everything is perfect.  Congrats.
