When sending the save the dates and someone is unmarried, do you write Mr. Bob Cobb and Guest...or do you write just Mr. Bob Cobb?

If the person was in a relationship but not married, the name of the significant other was on the enveloped but if the person was single we just did it to the actual person and not and guest.

And we gave everyone a date on the actual invitation, even those not in relationships.

We did it by addressing the invite to just the Mr. Bob.  If they were living with somoene then we addressed it to Mr Bob and Miss Sandra.  When we do the actual invites we plan on writing and guest on them.

We gave our single guests the option to bring a guest. Some of them said, and for those that said yes, we asked for the specific name of the person.

We sent the STD to the person who we were inviting, if they were living with their SO we also wrote their name on it.  For the invitations we put both names or and guest on the invitation but we tried really hard to get all the names as I hate seeing & guest--but that is just a personal pet peeve.

I put 'and guest' for single people who would be travelling for more than a few hours or wouldn't know many other people on the STD. In the end, we and guested all single people, but I wanted to leave myself the option of not giving all our Boston friends a random date if the numbers got too tight. At the same time, I wanted people who were planning flights and hotels to know that they could bring someone. When we were dating, we were invited to a wedding in FL where the STD came just to him. We had to book flights before we actually got the invitation so he had to ask the groom if I was invited, which would have been really awkward if I wasn't.

We sent the STD's to just the single person invited without the "and guest".

For the invitation, everyone not in a relationship got an "and guest".

For the escort cards we included everyones name.  All of our single guests wrote their guests name on the reply card.
