JPs?

Next planning step is getting a JP.  It's my mother's dream is to have me married in a church or by someone of the church.  FI and I haven't been regularly going to church and don't feel its right to find a church just for the sake of a wedding, it should be something we both want to do for the right reasons.  Anywho...

Do any of you have any good recommendations for a JP?  More specifically one that is a non-denominational minister that gives more of a feeling of a ceremony vs. a 5 minute 'till "I Do" ?  The ceremony will be on the South Shore so anyone as close to that as possible (for meeting purposes) would be great, thanks!

I used Rev. Paula Taylor of Hearts & Souls Ceremonies (clicky).  She's located in RI, so S. Shore would be very easy for her.

She was WONDERFUL!  You can customize the ceremony so it can be as long as you would like it to be!

I am meeting with Dan Griffiths in December. My venue gave him incredible reviews but I can't say anything for myself yet! He has a website if you google his name.

I met with http://web.me.com/ronaldpingalls/Ministry_Page/Welcome.html he is a former Priest that is now married. He still is a minster of sorts. He was so nice and your mom might feel better about it because he used to be a priest

I just recently booked Dan Griffiths because of all the great reviews. I don't think he is a former minister but he has so many different ceremony parts he can offer you that are both religious and non- and you have the ability to customize it exactly how you want.

I also booked Dan for my wedding based on reviews. When FI and I first met with him, we knew that's who we wanted. He is very personable and felt like he'll give us a beautiful ceremony. I'm pretty sure I had tears in my eyes at points just from talking with him at that first meeting.

Liz Gemelli is awesome.  She is very reasonably priced and tailors the ceremony to your desire.  We loved working with her.

We used Mary Gill who is out of attleboro, but we got married in Cohasset.  She was great.  We paid $175.

I second this post. FI and I met with him. I think if you go with Tom, your mother will be very pleased. His ceremony is 22 minutes long on the shortest side. FI and I want short. ;)
