no reherseal

Hi

I am not having a rehearsal because we are getting married on site and it is about 1 1/2 away. In your opinions should I still try to get everyone together before the wedding. We are paying for the wedding ourselves so money will be very tight

Re: no reherseal

  • Only if you want to/can afford to.

We were not planning on a rehearsal at all at first. Come on, if a bunch of adults can't walk down an aisle and hook left or right, a rehearsal won't help much.

Our venue requires a rehearsal, but it can't be the night before the wedding.  There's another wedding in there.  So, we're doing a rehearsal at 2pm the day before, and we'll have lunch provided downstairs for the bridal party.  We have to keep it inexpensive, but we want to do it nice.  No open bar, but catered food, and we'll give our BP the gifts then as well.
  • That's a great idea. My wedding is during the day, both of our parents are elderly and have medical issues, so I wanted to make sure they got to enjoy themselves. Thanks for the reply
  • No problem!!

Earlier in the day works for everyone, so we chose that. Plus we can go to bed early and relax before the wedding day.  It works out for everyone.

    Good luck planning!
  • I'm not doing one either since we would only be able to do it Thursday night (and the wedding is Sunday).  I'm going to mock one up at one of our houses so people know what to do etc. It isn't rocket science, so I'm hoping it'll be just fine.
