Sautering Rings - When to do it

Hola Ladies!
Happy 80-degree-weather-day :)

So I want to get my wedding band and my e-ring sautered together since my wedding band has a dip, so I don't plan on ever wearing it alone.

When do you recommend that I do this?  The woman at the jewelers said do it after the wedding, but at the same time, the rings don't sit flush when on and my wedding band tends to slide a bit.  I think i'd feel more secure if they were sautered before the honeymoon.

Has anyone done this before the wedding?  how long does it take?  I think I'd prefer that if it's only a day or two.

Just FYI, it's soldering, not sautering.

Never done it, but I just HAVE to correct this because it is bothering me:  the word is soldering, not sautering!

    Good luck!

I choose not to solder mine, but for the wedding and honeymoon I had a gold brackett or guard (whatever they call it) put on it, so they would be stuck together as one.  I have my e-ring and 2 bands...so I didn't want my hubby to have to fool with them during the ceremony to get them on my finger.  You may look into this so you can wear the E-ring up until the wedding day and then when you get back from the honeymoon just go to the place where you bought them.  Becareful...my rings have warrenties, so if I have somebody else work on them, it voids the warrenty.  Not sure if this applies to you.

Are you leaving for your honeymoon right away? I would say if you have a couple of days do it in between. Otherwise it's your call. I know some people do it ahead of time, but I would feel sad not having my e-ring for a couple of days before the wedding, plus it might make it more awkward for him putting the ring on your finger.

But, I've never done it so maybe I'm not so much help.
