Greece for HM

Hello everyone,

So we have decided to do Greece for our honeymoon, Santorini, looking at staying here:

Not sure if we should book this over the internet or find a travel agent (any agencies you recommend for this), also may stop and stay in Athens for a day or two, seems cheaper to do this then fly direct to Santorini.

Any other recommendations on going to Greece?? Just starting my research Laughing

    allison at CRC travel specizlies in Santorini and luxury vacations. she is sometimes mentioned on the honeymoon board and on the month board. 800-874-7701 is the number for CRC

    We did Italy, Greece & Turkey last september for our HM. In Italy, we travelled on our own by train but then we hopped on a Celebrity cruise ship for Greece & Turkey. I highly recommend checking on cruises if you want to see a few different places as teh travel on your own moving your luggage each time adds to the stress. Santorini was my favorite place in Greece, followed by Athens. Mykonos was disappointing to us - I think that's a great place to go party, but just not as great during the day.     My sister went there for her honeymoon since her DH has family there.  They stayed in Athens and then went to Santorini.  She loved it.  Jsut be careful at night in Athens, lots of crime (the purse snatching type).  But you will love it!

    I found a great TA on the board here who gets a lot of props for Greece. Check him out, he did a great job for our HM. He even gave us an upgrade. His name is Petros Zissimos and his company is www.hellenicholidays.com

    We are also using Petros from Hellenic HOlidays for our October Greek Islands honeymoon and have had an awesome experience so far. He answers all questions and concerns and walked us through each step.

    We are staying at Mykonos Grand and White in Santorini.

    If you use an agent, you may get perks here and there and also they can coordinate your transfer which takes some stress off. The travel agent fees are not that much for what you get.
