Wedding Gown Preservation???

Can you reccomend any reliable places for getting your wedding dress cleaned and preserved?

Thanks!

I used wedclean.com. I found recommendations on the Knot for the site. It's pretty much the same price as local dry cleaners but they specialize in wedding dresses.

I just sent my dress out so I can't vouch for the final product but, so far, it's been pretty easy. You go online and select which items you want cleaned then they send you a box with all the materials and shipping info. Just drop it off at a UPS store and they send it back once your dress is clean.

    Dress $129.95
    Veil $19.95

Thanks! Just want to make sure before I send it to just any company. I've heard some horror stories.  So once it comes back, are you not supposed to take it out of its' box ever and if so do you risk it turning turning color.

Any other recommendations from others who have used and were happey with the results from these online wedding dress preservation companies?

Wedclean returns your clean dress and veil in the special preservation box so you can't open it. I think that's the way any local dry-cleaner would return your preserved dress so I didn't have any concerns.

I did a search in the Knot forums to find out info on wedclean. That's where I found the recommendations.
