HORRIBLE experience at VOWS in Watertown

If anyone is planning on going to Vows in Watertown please by very careful and go prepared for some serious attitude.  I got married back in 2011 but am now in the wedding of one of my closest friends.  We went to Vows on Sunday along with 2 other bridesmaids.  We were looking forward to a laid back hour of dress shopping.  We had a 4:00pm appointment and from the moment we walked in the door all we got was attitude and rudeness.

The woman who greeted us with a sneer pretty much didn't believe us that we had an appointment and couldn't be bothered to look at the appointment list despite the fact that the bride has a very unusual last name and we could see it on the list.

Once we got in and started shopping, we handed off one of the 5 dresses we were allowed to pull to one of the employees and that employee told the bride that she was too fat to wear it.  For real.  The employee read the tag wrong, the dress was a 12, not a 4 as she told the bride.  The bride normally wears a street 6 or 8 and so we knew to pull 8s, 10s, and 12s.  When we politely pointed out to the salesperson that the dress was in fact a 12 she turned on her heel and stomped off.

Our consultant, Patty, was late to the fitting room so we started without her.  She was obnoxious, refused to listen to anything the bride or maids had to say, and went to far as to hustle the bride in and out of dresses, constantly reminding her that she had to hurry and that we only had an hour.

The topper was when Patty asked the bride if she was pregnant.  (The bride has basically a flat stomach with a belly piercing and didn't want the piercing to show through the fabric of the dress so there was a lot of talk about her stomach.)  When we all replied, in unison, that she wasn't, Patty asked, "Are you sure?  Because it's ok if you are."  The bride is BNOTB/childfree, so she's really NOT pregnant.

We left with exactly 15 mins left in our appointment and no dress and we won't be going back.  We weren't expecting champagne and foot massages, but some civility would have been nice.
