Rain and Photos!

Got some fabulous engagement shots done this past week, sort of late but we aren't doing anything with them so its okay. Its just nice to have some nice pictures of us together! Anyways, it was pretty chilly the day we did them and I realized I had to change my outfit because the pictures were outside, which got me thinking about rain and weddings and basically brings me to my question: What are some of your ideas or back up plans for photo's on your wedding day if it rains and you were planning to do them outside? I sort of never thought about it until now! And I really need some possible ideas. I guess I just hope it doesn't rain!

I got super cute rainboots and we'll use some umbrellas!  :)

We'll probably also just take more at the church, at the reception venue, etc.

I'm planning on rain, and if it's nice out, that'll just be a bonus!

Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

Well our hotel has a GORGEOUS lobby and a semi decent photo room so WORST case... it'll happen inside. BUT if it rains we do plan to duck outside for a bit. I am going to get a big black golf umbrella and possibly rain boots. It won't be my dream photo but itll be cute nonetheless!

I've definitely seen cute photos of couples in the rain under big umbrellas (my photographer told us she brings several umbrellas just in case!  She's like a boyscount, always prepared!).

at a recent wedding we were at, it poured!  Too bad, gorgeous venue (LeBaron Country Club I think).  They took photos under an awning that still had a nice view of the gold course but didn't get them wet.

We were prepared for a blizzard, so we had wraps, I had a little fur jacket, and my girls had legwarmers for under their dresses. If it snowed or was super cold, we decided to do formals in the church and then H and I would brave the elements to do some fun stuff alone outside.

However, in the middle of January, we got sun and 50 degrees. I didn't complain.

As long as you prepare for the worst, you'll always be pleasantly surprised.
