Unique, Not-so-Pricey Venue

Hello all,

I am helping my future sister-in-law plan her upcoming wedding and need some ideas. She's having about 100 people for 10k budget, wants something incorporating the outdoors. I'm thinking rustic chic. Probably not a hotel or the "usual" banquet halls. She wants something a bit different.

Any thoughts?? She's in the Foxboro area, but would travel 1-1.5 hours if needed.

Thanks!

  • Camp Kiawana in Hansen Ma. Beautiful building. Very inexpensive rental, all wood interior, bring in your own food and booze so you can control costs.
  • I'm not sure if it's unique enough, but I'm getting married at the Blissful Meadows Golf Club in Uxbridge. It has a nice gazebo & I believe the club house is a restored Victorian barn. Their prices are very reasonable.
  • I love Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm in Peabody.
  • take a look at independence harbor in Assonet, very good price,  I have 120 people for under $7000

  • We doing nearly everything at Old Sturbridge Village. Very unique, all New England and as rustic as we want it to be (or not!) and amazing for what we are paying. I think it would be a 40 minute drive or so as we have family out by Fboro.  Another thought was the NE Aquarium but it's quite busy in the area.

  • We are doing ours at Bourndale FUnction Facility in Plymouth their website is capefunctions.com

It's a gorgous location and they really let you customize the wedding to fit the bride and groom.  Best part is you can even stay over, they have a bonfire and breakfast the next day. (which is great since my family is out of town) def something to look into.
  • The Warren Center in Ashland would be perfect for her!  Have her contact Erika!  She was my sales manager for my wedding there this past October!  They have amazing grounds, tons of places for pictures outside (barn, gazebo, beach, etc.)  Trees are everywhere.  If she is doing her ceremony there like I did, there are outdoor areas and a gorgeous area in the Inn lobby for the ceremony in case it rains.  VERY unique, not your typical hotel and very close to Foxborough!

  • Thank you all!
