I'm finding myself a little lost on choosing a DJ for our wedding! My fiancé and I have pretty eclectic tastes in music, ranging from classic rock to punk to salsa to experimental to big band to classical to electronica to goth to whatever you'd call the stuff that Jonathan Coulton and Voltaire do. Geekcore? Yeah. Pretty eclectic.
What we really DON'T much care for, is Top 40 stuff/pop and hip-hop. Still, we need stuff that will get people out and on the dance floor...without resorting to all those songs that everyone's burnt out on because they are played at Every Wedding, Ever ("Love Shack," "Brick House," etc.)
We'd love to find a DJ in the Boston area who is 1) reasonably priced, and 2) has a large collection of eclectic stuff and the creativity to use it wisely. We've had Amy West recommended to us by two friends who used her, so she's certainly in the running, but I'm flailing when it comes to finding any other potential candidates for the job! Any ideas?
