Invitation wording

Hi,

We'd like to let our guests know that after the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, open bar, and that valet parking is included, so they don't have to worry about parking/paying for anything.  Is that typically worded on the invitation itself or separately?  Does anyone have any sample wording they can share?

I assume the OOT dinner the night before and brunch the next day invitations should be separate, right?  We are actually ordering our invitations as 5x7 photo prints, so we can customize each one if we want.

Thanks!

Typically, you have an invitation, a response card, and then however many insert you choose for detailing things like accommodations, parking, etc. I have seen this done many different ways. Perhaps and easy way to do it would be to have a card regarding accommodations and driving directions, and include a note at the end that instructs where to go for parking, and that there is no fee for parking.

We did a reception card that basically said:

"Join us for cocktails, dinner and dancing!

    The Barker Tavern
    Address
    Reception time

We look forward to celebrating with you!"

We didn't say anything on the invitation or inserts about open bar, I don't think that's something you normally come out and say. If guests ask, just tell them. Word will spread, and obviously people will know when they go up to the bar for a drink.

Our RD invite was included as a separate insert in the invitation suite. If we had done a brunch, that would also have been its own insert.

yea we jsut put the address for dinner and dancing after the ceremony on one of our inserts, you dont need to write any other details, they will figure it out when they get there - i did put the hotel number for the room block rate.
I would do separate OOT dinner invites......we are just doing a brunch for whoever is in the hotel and word of mouth will be enough I think :)

We told our guests about the parking being included on our accommodations card. We had a separate insert about the rehearsal dinner and the morning after brunch with our invites.  I have pics of all of these in my bio (under Paper/DIY) if you want to see how we worded it.
