DJ Suggestions??

Hi Everyone,

I've been researching DJ's and they all seem so expensive to me. None of them seem to really impress me that much. I keep thinking of my friends wedding where her DJ was just horrible. Everyone was making comments about them and I definitely don't want that to happen.

Can anyone suggest a great DJ that's affordable? I'm hoping to find someone that can offer me 5 hours which include the ceremony music and possible up-lighting for about about $1300? Is this even possible?

Thanks!

Where is your wedding/reception located. I am in Lowell, and my DJ is Phat Bastard Entertainment (you can look him up on facebook) - local DJ. Only charging $550 for 5 hours, including lighting and such. Contact him. Not sure where he travels to. Hope it helps.

Beat Train is a great DJ company and the associate DJs are probably in your budget. Hope this helps!

C-Zone Music!!  I worked with Max Baun and he had our dance floor packed the whole night. I have actually had 5 friends and co-workers book with Max since attending our wedding. Page me or PM if you have any questions :)

We are using Tom Bruhl for 6 hours reception and cocktail hour the coast is 1300. He has also agreed that if we need to use the reception site for the ceremony b/c of rain he we come earlier with no charge.  We have been to a few events that he has been the dj/mc for and he is fantastic-besides the normal dj stuff he will sing and play instruments if you would like. He is also willing to learn new songs if he does not already know how to play

My DJ fits your specs to a T. We're using RaMu and the Crew and I can't say enough great things about them!!!  I don't know if his prices changed (I doubt it) but for $1300 we're getting 5 hrs of DJ'ing, complimentary (as in free!) uplights, he can put up two 42" plasmas where guests can send txt messages to and they are displayed, and he just started offering photobooths, which we decided to get.

Def. check him out!!  He's an awesome vendor and determined to stick out from regular ol' DJs ;)  GL
