Babies on the brain!

I posted this on theNest too, but you gals are so much more my speed :)

Okay, for about two weeks now all I can think about is having a baby! I've even dreamt about it! Don't get me wrong, I really can't wait for the day when DH and I can bring a baby into this world but right now just isn't the time.

Has anyone else's brain been begging for babies? (whoa, talk about alliteration!)

I was like that right before our wedding and then we got pregnant on our honeymoon! :) (Due in July!)

P.S. I don't think there is ever really a "right time" to have a baby...unless things are extremely bad of course. We were going to wait until we had enough $$ saved, but in the end, "time waits for nobody" and you (we or anyone) will make it workLaughing

Yeah, I have no doubt that we could make it work. There are just a few things we'd like to do before having babies :)

Plus I'm a Type 1 diabetic, so having a baby is going to take some serious work on my end :/

I know how you feel. On our honeymoon we were like "Hey, we could have a baby!" It's exciting and mind-boggling and wonderful and terrifying all at once. We came to an agreement that if it happens, it happens. It would be a major lifestyle change at this point in our lives, but people have babies every day and we would make it work.

It's amazing being at a point where we're pretty cool with the idea!

Shazzie - I love the situation that you and your DH have chosen for yourselves. I totally wish we could just let it happen :)

So when are we meeting Shazzie Jr and sunshine Jr?   haha

I think biologically we all get babies on the brain, esp mid-twenties on.  They're just so damn cute.

and most importantly, congrats mama Hadley!

Yes! congrats Hadley! So exciting! Are you going to find out the sex or let it be a surprise?

Kobs, probably no Shazzie Jr. anytime soon! I want to at least make it to our Med. cruise this summer so I can enjoy it.

I only get babies on the brain when I see a cute one who is behaving well. When I see the screaming babies and the tired mommies, my reproductive system quiets down for a while :)

Thank you!  :)  We went into it thinking "if it happens it happens" and well...it happened!  We wanted to do more traveling and what-not before we got pregnant, but now that we are we're very excited (of course)! :)

Haha, I've been thinking of checking out the local Chuck-E-Cheese as a form of birth control. Of course I'd go and see the most wellbehaved group of 6 year old ever...

    Congrats jquirke and hadley!  Awesome!!

We both are having "baby fever" right now, and have been for a month or so (and that is REALLY saying something for my husband, who just months ago would break into a cold-sweat at the mere mention of babies), but we're still waiting a while.  However, we have gone from saying that we'd be waiting at least 5 years to tossing around the idea of MAYBE starting to try sometime next year.  We'll see - I'm still young and there's still a LOT we'd like to do before settling down.

Fi and I totally have babies on the brain.  We're hoping to start trying right after the wedding and I can't wait!

I've had babies on the braid as well, but more like I'm seriously afraid of getting pregnany before the wedding.  I think it's b/c a couple coworkers got pregnant right around their weddings (one before and one on the honeymoon) that's got me having crazy dreams about it.  Not that it would be a bad thing, but I wouldn't fit into my dress and I feel as though we'd have to cancel our very expensive honeymoon to start saving for a kid.

I always thought we'd wait 3-4 years before trying to get pregnant (I really want to travel with my FI who has never been out of the country), but the more people I see getting pregnant the more I want to cut back the 3-4 years to 1-2 years.  It's the weirdest feeling to think that in 5 months I could get pregnant and it would be ok b/c I would be married and settled.  WEIRD!
