gown cleaning

Hi!
Can anyone recommend a good place to have your gown cleaned...without spending a small fortune :)
So far, I have received a quote of $400.  Is that average?

Thanks

I got mine cleaned and preserved through Wedclean.com (found the recommendation on the Knot).

It cost $129.95 for the dress, $19.95 for the veil and that includes shipping. I insured my dress for an additional $40.00.

They send you a box within a couple of days in which you put your dress. All supplies are included: garbage bag and tie for the dress, pieces of tape to close the box, shipping labels. Then, you drop it off at a UPS store.

Wedclean sends email updates to let you know when they receive the dress and ship it back to you. I sent mine in mid-November and just got it back.

Wow, that sounds like a very good deal.  How did it look when you got it back?  Is it clean?  I just want mind cleaned, not preserved.
