Boston Hotels & Nightlife

Hi Girls,

I need some help since I am not too familar with the city, but I am looking for some a hotel in Boston that is in close proximity to bars/nightclubs for a bachelorette party. Basiaclly a decent hotel(possibly with a spa) and somewhere that the girls can go and dance at night. We are not intrested in going to any shows, just want to have fun and dance! Please Help!

TY!

i would recommend the back bay area.  nice hotels and you are close to great restaurants and the like along boylston and newbury streets.  King's is also nearby.

there is a sheraton, westin, fairmont and a lenox there, and a marriott.

I'd recommend the Copley/Back Bay area.  Mandarin Oriental has a nice spa, and there are lots of others that are nice in the area.  There are also great restaurants in that area as well.
As for Felt, one word: ICK.  I wouldn't go there. I've done lots of events there with my work, and the quality of the staff, food and service at Felt has gone downhill quickly in the last few years.  The place is now notorious for fights and bad crowds.  If you want pool or bowling, there are definitely other spots. Kings is down in Back Bay, and that's a lot of fun.  I'd go to Gypsy Bar before I went to Felt.
    HTH!

felt is also in the downtown crossing area - total ghetto.  that's the one place i never felt 110% safe walking around at night in all of boston.

bella sante spa on Newbury is very nice as well, if you end up staying at a hotel that doesnt have a spa of its own.

We stayed at the W after my bachelorette, and we had the bustonian drop us off there after. The hotel is new and clean. The bliss spa is there too. I love bella sante and I'm there often, but bliss is more group-friendly and slightly more affordable. The Mandarin has a gorgeous spa but is cra-zy expensive.

It was absolutely, hands down, perfect. My friends did an amazing job organizing.

gosh, its been awhile since i've gone in...i usually only go to backbay when i do go in.... i used to love Finale and PF Chang's in that area, but now of course those are also in other locations so i dont frequent the theater district much anymore.

The W just opened up a year or so ago, so it's still fairly new. I would also vote for the back bay. It has everything in one spot and you won't have to worry about the T or a taxi. There's tons of hotels, bars, shopping and spas, etc in that area. If it summer I would recommend the pool deck on top of the Colannade! Kings is a lot of fun too!

Ditto Bliss! I've been to one of the ones in New York, but not the one in Boston. I can only assume that the one at the W is just as awesome as NY. :o)

The girls above have made some awesome suggestions!

As for bars, it depends on how old you are.  I would stay away from Landsdown Street and the like if you're older than say 22-23.  I would suggest going somewhere more like the Living Room if you want to dance and have a more mature crowd where people aren't grinding on you in the dark.

The Liberty has a trendy nightlife scene and is an awesome hotel. The W is in a good location as well... but be forewarned, it's on the cusp on downtown crossing and China town, but they're not as bad as people have been saying they are. Then again, I lived in Harlem, so I may have a skewed perspective.

What about the Quincy Market area? You could stay at the Millennium Hotel, and for people that are out of town, I would think they would have more fun in the bars in that area. I would want to hang out around there- there are a lot of young people and you could easily pub crawl it.

PS Like someone said above, Kenmore square will be teeming with college frat kids
