Rockport, MA outdoor ceremony?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had a wedding or been to an outdoor wedding in Rockport, MA? I am having my reception at Rockport Art Association and would like to have my ceremony outside. Does anyone have anu suggestions about the Back Beach Bandstand, Halibut Point, Old Garden Beach, the Headlands, etc? Any input would be great!

    I'm actually going to the second wedding I've been to at Halibut Point State Park this weekend. It's beautiful but so far from the Art Association, also the wedding party has been encouraged to wear flats because of the rough walking. I would also maybe check out Millbrook Meadow (a park across from the beach). The headlands would be nice, but I think there is a limit to the number of people you can have there, and also it's hard to access for older guests. I think the most important thing for a wedding in Rockport is making parking accessible for guests, since there isn't a lot of it... so if you can find a location in walking distance from the Art Association that would be the best.

    Thank you so much for all of the information. I drove out there yesterday and looked at Halibut and at the Back Beach Bandstand. I am a quick walker and in flats I made it to the visitor canter in 5 minutes and the overlook in 12. It is very scenic but annoying that you have to drive there from the Art Association. The bandstand is much closer, but way more open to the public. Millbrook Meadow is closed through 2012, which isn't helpful for my 2011 wedding. I have more planning to do, apparently. Thank you for your input!

    Did you find anything? I am trying SO hard to get married in Rockport. someone needs to build something beautiful that is a little bigger. Any advice on where to look? I looked at the new performance center downtown. LOVE it, but it is small.
