Price per Person including Entree and Open Bar?

I am hoping to keep my price per person to $75.00 Including their meal/stations and a 4-5 hour open bar depending on the venue site. This 75 would include house charges, facility fees and taxes. I am looking to have 75 to 100 people and don't mind DIY.

The Riverview in Simsbury Ct comes close at 83 however that is off season. I still have to meet with them and have an appt scheduled.

The Mill on the River comes close to this price but the reviews are so mixed about this place.

Red Barn and Garden house are out based on cost. East Mountain Country club is out based on viewing the site.
Is this even possible? I am looking in the Western MA area but am willing to drive one hour from Springfield MA. Any ideas?

We are getting married at the Riverview in Simsbury and it's $85 a person for 4 choices of entrees, open bar, apps, cake. There is a 125 minimum in the off season as well (down from 150).
If you have any questions, let me know.
    Good luck

I'm struggling with the same issue. Open bar is really important to me, but in Boston doesn't seem feasible to me.... But i didnt consider CT.

Remember that everywhere is going to have mixed reviews and it is impossible to please everyone or maybe there is a new coordinator rather than the one w/bad review. While important to read reviews, visit the location and base your final decision on your instinct. Maybe you get a really good vibe from a different coordinator.

Havent visited yet, but Independence Harbor in Ma or Colonial Inn in Gardner seem to have good reviews and reasonable if your willing to do a Friday or Thursday.

Also, I keep telling myself not to rule out places slightly over budget until visiting because there is always room to negotiate from their published rates.

We too were considering open bar but fear that my family might get too drunk.  We are considering doing open bar for cocktail hour.  If we do this option we are at 80 per person including tax and gratuity, which I think is decent.

You could always offer a limited bar with beer and wine and maybe a signature drink.  That way you are still hosting the bar, but bringing down the cost.

I didnt find any places around me when i was looking that came within your budget.
