Bridal shop in Boston

Hello I am a out of town bride and will be visiting my sister in Boston next week...would you please recommend some bridal shops in this area?

I had great experiences at several Boston-area shops. I made appointments at the bridal salons, which cuts down on the craziness - if possible, I'd definitely recommend doing so!

    - Allegria in Belmont
    - Neiman Marcus - they don't have a distinct bridal section, but Adelaide on the second floor is *amazing* and can show you some gorgeous gowns (Badgley Mischka / Marchesa / Nicole Miller) that could be wonderful for a less formal wedding
    - VOWS in Watertown - it's a sample store, but most of the gowns look great, and they will clean and press them for free. I got a beautiful, pristine Melissa Sweet gown at VOWS for thousands less than it would have cost new! Big plus :)

I also went to L'Elite on Newbury St. and loved their gowns... but I felt like the consultants were very pushy, especially since I said I was not buying a $6,000 gown without my mother and MOH present! That said, if you find something you love, negotiate - I started to walk and was offered a $2,000 discount on the spot for a Monique Lhuillier.

  • I bought my Enzoani dress at Sabella Couture. They only carry a couple of brands and they do a lot of custom work, so if that's something you're interested, it's a great shop.
  • Found my dress at Terri's Bridal in Norwood.
