Nice venue for a morning / off-season wedding

I'm trying to reign in costs for my wedding by having a lunch reception during the off-season, but I'm having trouble finding places that offer discounts for these things.  For example, I really like The Lantana in Randolph, but they offer no discounts and have no lunch menu.  I also like The Tirrel Room in Quincy, and while they have some off-season discounts, I can't use their lunch menu unless I have a reception during a weekday.  Plus, even with their discounts, they somehow end up being more expensive than The Lantana.

Any suggestions?  I'm looking for something south of Boston, preferably, but I can be flexible.

  • How many people are you expecting to invite? Also did you check the Inn at Bay Pointe also located in Quincy. I have been there for showers and the food was excellent and it's on the water.

  • Our guest list is 85 people right now.  I'm familiar with the Inn at Bay Pointe, but I don't think they host weddings.

  • Lake View Pavillion in Foxborough?  My friend got married there during off season and I think she got a discouted rate.  It's beautiful.

  • The Inn at Bay Pointe does weddings! A coworker of mine got married there off season a few years ago.

  • Lakeview Pavilion looks beautiful!  But unfortunately, they have a minimum guest requirement of 100 people.

  • I toured Lakeview Pavillion and it was beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was how big it was! It seems like the room would swallow my guest list of 150! Check out Saphire Event Group they own the Saphire Estate in Sharon and the Villa in East Bridgewater. I know they offer off season discounts. I'm getting married at the Villa and they have been great so far.

  • Have you tried the Villa in East Bridgewater? We are getting a discount for off season, and I know they do afternoon weddings.

Maybe the Canoe Club in West Bridgewater or Monponsett Inn in Halifax?
If your looking for closer to Boston, maybe see if Venezia or the Common Market may work. They are  both restaurants and they may be more flexible....

I would directly call and talk to a sales manager of your favorite places and give them your budget and see what they can do for you. You'll be surprised with what they do if you just ask. They might even make a menu specifically for you and your budget, especially if your flexible with dates.
  • We are getting married at the Mansfield Holiday Inn, they are very affordable. We were initially thinking the Tirrell Room or The Villa but Mansfield was significantly lower in price-and has a cool resort vibe to it (not your traditional Holiday Inn). I would definitely recommend checking it out!
  • The lighthouse room at Danversport Yach Club is really nice.  They do off season weddings at a discount.

  • We got married at 43 church street in salem, ma. They do weddings at any time and would have a different menu. It is a really cool place and the food was awesome, plus it isn't a all inclusive so it allows for you to do diy if you want to and cut some costs. they have a website and the planner Tina is so great to work with. She wasn't there until just a few months before my wedding and she made everything go really well for us.
