DJ help!

Hi --

I am wondering if anyone knows of any reasonably priced DJs that would serve the North Shore area.  I have been looking around and the advice I get from people is, "You get what you pay for," as in, if you aren't paying a lot, don't expect a great DJ.  I, however, would like to believe that there ARE good DJs out there who don't charge an arm and a leg but still do a great job, I just haven't been able to find any!

If anyone has had any luck, I'd love to hear from you.

I would consider Curtis Knight Entertainment out of Billerica.  They have a ton of great DJs!  We are using Mark Cherone from their company.  They charge $900 for 4 hrs, which I think is a very good price.

Hi there!

We budgetted $750 but I am thinking we will have to increase it to at least $1,000 based on the research that I have done.

What do you think?

@ Noodle - Thanks for the informatio.  Were you able to see your DJ in action before hiring him?  I do think that's a reasonable price.

Check out www.bostondj.com. We are paying 1200 for 5 hours, but they may be able to work with you!  Good luck!

No, we haven't seen him in action but he was recommended by another forum bride who used him.  We also met with him in person and really liked him.  He has a great voice and a great personality.  We can tell you for sure in 2 months!  Good luck!
