dresses

Has anyone purchased a wedding gown on the site - preowned dresses.com?

It seems risky to me.  They don't accept any returns.

I think buying from them is like buying on ebay (sort of).  In that you are purchasing from an individual not a company.  Anyway, my FSIL bought her dress on there.  It was a Monique L'huillier and she got a $4K dress for like $1800.  She did have to have it altered and she loved it!  Then she resold it afterward for like $800.  So not a bad deal to wear a designer dress.

But don't forget, most of the dresses are used and may have been altered.  For me, I'd much rather have a new dress that is my own for $800 (which is what I did!).

You also might want to try a dress shop a friend of mine told me about.  It's called Love Me Two Times.  However, its a little bit of a drive: Connecticut.  She found her dress for $99.  I haven't been so I can't speak from my own experience.

Thanks for your reply.  Did your friend get a sample dress, or a used dress?
My main concern is getting a dress that may be ripped or stained etc. I hope people are truthful when describing there dress.

I would ask for LOTS of pictures- post-wedding from the seller.
