Doubletree - Bedford Glen

Hi all,

Mike & I are about to pull the trigger on the Doubletree Bedford Glen in Bedford (have to make sure everything will line up with the church tomorrow). We took a look at it yesterday and really feel that it is a hidden gem and the prices are set right. It has the outdoor cocktail space that I want too (yay!)

Has anyone been to a reception there? Would you recommend the food?

I almost have my first check - yay!!

    The DT Bedford Glen was our second choice for venue.  It is *gorgeous*!  I loved their outdoor space and lobby is also really great.  If I remember correctly they are also redoing all their rooms (or they did recently), so it will be great for your guests!  Congrats!

    From our visits, I remember their coordinator (Jocelyn?) was wonderful.  She was really responsive and I truster her.  I know they negotiated a ton with me, came down on the per person price and threw in some extras (appetizer display I think!), so definitely ask!  They also were great about giving us a reasonable minimum.

    I also talked to a friend of mine who went to a friends wedding there, and she said  it was great and the food was good.  We totally would have booked there if we didn't find another venue that was in the city in our price range.

    My company is in Lexington, and we've used them for lots of functions.  They are pretty easy to work with and the food is good.  The will definitely negotiate.  Oh, and if you need extra rooms, the Hampton Inn across the street is really nice and will work with you for a grea weekend rate (I used to work there, and the manager, Patty, is awesome).

    Hello! I went to a wedding last September at the Bedford Glen and it was awesome! The food was great, our friends served the chicken and beef tenderloin. Good luck!
