Bouquet Preservation

Does anyone know of a place where you can get your flowers preserved? Or does anyone have any tips for preservation?

Thank you!

Re: Bouquet Preservation

  • My mom helped out and hung my bouquet upside-down to dry out (but retain the shape).  I have it sitting in a glass vase and I love seeing it.

Do you know what flowers you are using?  Some hold-up better than others & will change color less.

  • I just saw it on the Petals website (they're located in Peabody).  I think I would ask your florist for suggestions.  GL
  • We got married in November and I took my bouquet, an invitation and my husbands boutonnière to Petals and am having them preserve it.

  • Petals did mine.  I actually have to go pick it up.

    Its pretty expensive though.

For local places, I know Holmes-Shusas in Worcester also does it.

  • If you want a modern alternative to the traditional drying/shadow box/glass dome wedding "shrine" then I would suggest an oil painting by Reenie Rose  www.ReenieRose.com  I have given several of these as gifts and was even part of a group gift from the bridesmaids and the painting is always a sentimental favorite!  Check out the video too  www.vimeo.com/ReenieRose/unveiled I think you will be pleasantly surprised.  The artist works from photographs so she can work from anywhere in the world. This also makes a nice special anniversary gift. Just have your photographer take some great photos of your bouquet for future use!

    Good luck with your choice.

  • I picked mine up today from Petals.  I think they did a great job.
