Tell me about your guestbook

I want to make a guestbook with pictures from our engagement session.

My photographer offered to do it but its really expensive so I think I'd rather do it myself.

I have created books through shutterfly before but I just wanted to check, if you made your own guestbook...

What company did you use? What size?

What color did you do the background pages?

What type of pen did you use? Did it smuge? Thank you!

I made a 12x12 with leather cover through Shutterfly. The only downside was that shutterfly always has a "logo" page at the end which was really out of place in the book I made with all black pages (it was white).

We didnt end up using it though - We did a wedding certificate instead from Toucan Calligraphy which our guests loved and is such a nice keepsake to display in our home:

I made a book (materials from the paper-source) with some really nice paper, and attached 4-bar envelopes (2 per page) on the pages... then set out a whole bunch of fun (but color coordinating) 4bar card stocks out with a ton of different stickers, pens (gels, metallics, permanent, etc.)....  It came out really awesome and I was surprised at the creativity level of the guests!

The rhinestones were the biggest hits on the card, followed by the metallic gel pens, and then of course, the drinking-related-stickers.  ;)

I plan to make ours through MyPublisher. I already made both sets of parents an album from our engagement session, and they came out really nice. I loved how easy the software was to use!

FYI for shutterfly- I just made a book there for an Xmas present and it gave me the option of replacing the logo page with a formatted page.  Or does it just stick the logo page in at the end after that?  Maybe you can get around it.....

Kaustin - It still sticks a logo page after it... I took that option!

PIB under Paper/DIY.  We used mypublisher.com and were very happy with the price and quality.  We just used a silver sharpie, although I would recommend getting a fine tip point.  HTH!

I'm doing postcards in a photo album and putting our e pics in front of the post cards so it looks like our e pics are the pictures on the post card.  The back will have the lines and I'm ordering them through catprint or vistaprint. GL!
