Invitations - cost?

We recently set our date (June 2013) so we've been setting up a budget. I know its really early to order invitations but I've been browsing them to get a sense of cost. I really like Blush Deisgn Studio's offerings but I had major sticker shock when I saw the price. Just curious, who are you guys using as your stationer, and what is the price range?

Appreciate anything you can share!

Re: Invitations - cost?

  • we're using weddingpaperdivas.com and they've been great to work with so far. Our invitations will probably come in around $500 including the invitation, envelope, response card and insert. You're able to order samples to see if you like the feel and look of the invitation since it can be so hard to tell online. I can't say enough good things about the company.
  • I'm using Invitations by Susan.  For 100 sets of invitations that include outer envelope, pocket fold, invitation, response card (and envelope), direction insert, reception insert, and hotel info insert we are paying $650.

    Anniversary
  • We had complete sticker shock with invitations as well.  We explored several options and ultimately decided to buy a print your own kit from Target.  They actually look really nice and were about $30 for 50.  They even sell matching thank you cards etc.
  • I used etsy for an uploaded design which was $75 for the invitation card, rsvp card and directions card. Then I printed everything on 123print.com.  The printing cost me $102 for 50 invitations with all the cards and envelopes included.

I loved Wedding Paper Divas but after I got the free sample, I wasn't impressed so I explored cheaper options.
  • Check out minted.com.  We initially ordered our save-the-dates from Wedding Paper Divas (photo STD) and were so unhappy with the quality we sent them back.  We then tried Minted and were thrilled with the result!  The print & paper quality were excellent and the prices really fair.  Their designers were also able to make some changes to the design that we requested.  We've already ordered some sample invitations from them as well and will be going with them.  They have deals from time to time as well.  There is a 15% coupon in the new Martha Stewart Weddings magazine for Minted as well.

    Good luck!

I just searched for 'printable wedding invitations' and many options came up.  The shop that I used was myprettyprintables and I was really happy with the outcome.  If you find a design that you like, you can message the shop owner witht he wording that you want and they usually send a design for your approval before they send you the final product.  The shop that I used offered a PDF or jpeg format.

    Here's what mine looked like:

A friend of mine at work recommended I check out Creating Paper Memories. She had found them on Etsy.com and their prices were unbeatable. Their designs are very basic but you can choose any color cardstock. They have packages which include pretty much anything you could imagine for 150 invitations, thank yous, response cards, etc. for $175. She also told me that they were very quick, she had her invitations within a week or two. My wedding is also in June 2013 and I plan on using them!
