Rehearsal Question....

Initially I was thinking of wanting to have our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the week prior to our wedding.  But when I asked about this the club manager told me we need to have it the Thurs or Fri before our wedding and kind of insisted it needed to be that way.  Our wedding party is really small so we barely even need to have a rehearsal but will do so to be safe and for my two young nieces who will be in our wedding.

I'm wondering when all of you plan on having your rehearsals with your venue, the week of your wedding or other?  I'm thinking of revisiting that topic with him and asking again politely if we can have it the Thurs or Fri week before our wedding.

We had ours the day before our wedding, and I believe that is pretty common.  Of course, we were having the wedding on Cape w/ OOT family in our WP so there was no way we could have done it a week ahead of time.

If your venue does a lot of weddings, they are probably having rehearsals for the weddings that will occur the w/end before yours on the days that you mentioned wanting to have yours.

I also am having a small wedding, 2 of the four members of the wedding party probably won't be in town in time for any sort of rehersal and the other two will have to make a 2 hour drive. I'm having a very simple ceremony I don't know how much it is really needed. Besides my JP says not to worry since who ever doesn't go to the rehersal can be filled in a few minutes before. The Bride and Groom are the ones who will be doing the most at the wedding anyway. The wedding party all they really do is walk in and walk out.

we're doing our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the day before our wedding.  Since all three groomsmen, one of my bridesmaids and my FI's family are coming in from the west coast, it'll just be easier to have it the day before instead of earlier in the week.

Our rehearsal and RD is the day before. My bridesmaids and parents are all OOT, so that's really the only time we can do it.
