Favors question

So i'm about to order my Favors... they are going to be handed out at the end of the wedding when the couple or person says goodbye and hands us their gift.  I am having trouble figuring out how many to order though.  We have 220 invited guests, but only sent out 107 invitations, since some were sent to whole families / couples, etc.  So now how many Favors do you think i should order???

Thanks for your help!

    Depends what the favor is...

yea depends on what the favor is, is it one per couple or one per guest?

Also- if you are going to hand them out to each guest, do you know that each one will line up to say good bye and greet you? Id hate for you to have tons leftver. Have you considered leaving them at the tables for the hall to set up?

    I totally agree with this.

All of our gifts were cards with $.  Most people put them in the card box during the cocktail hour.  The only time we actually spoke to everyone was when we went table to table shortly after the salad course came out and even then we were only there a minute or 2.

I am with the last two pp...i have never heard of exchanging a present for a favor.  Most people leave the cards at the box or give them to you or the BM.  I can't imagine walking around with all of those favors...plus, you might stress yourself out about someone leaving and not getting one.

I also agree with the last few posters. When everyone begins to leave at once, they are not going to just line up to say goodbye to you - some people will leave without you noticing. And I've never handed a card to the couple, I would much rather just put it in the box so I know it's where it belongs.

But back to your first question - yes it totally depends on what the favor is.

The favor is going to be a wine stopper.  I was going to give one to each couple there.  I just dont know how I would handle it any other way then to wait until the end of the night for the guests to come up and grab their favor from us personally, like many of the weddings i go to do.
How would i put the favor on each table if some guests are families of 4, or some guests are single?  It seems too confusing.

We gave out favors per couple and attached them to the place cards:

we did per couple and per person favors.  The per couple ones we used as escort card holders.  You could always tie the escort card to the end of the stopper.

Our per person favors were placed at each place setting my the staff at our reception venue.

Our favors were per person, but ive seen per couple ones done and they are placed on the table by the venue staff, they would normally leave it between two seatings or in the center of the table.

Ours were one per couple and one per single.  Our venue put them on the table and asked us how many favors at each table. It worked out fine.
