Cost of summer wedding @ Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA??

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten any info from Turner Hill re: a summer time wedding?  The website gives you the cost of $8K for the facility rental, tent, chairs etc... but doesn't mention anything about cost per person?  I was hoping someone might know from asking themselves... any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

I priced out Turner Hill. With 130 people, basic chicken dish, no appetizer, just the basic hors d'ouevres, and open bar it came out to about $27,000 for a wedding during prime season.

    Some of the breakdown

    $64 pp for chicken dish
    $4550 for open bar
$1170 for hors d'ouevres (includes just passed appetizers, no displays)
    $8,000 in rental fees
    18% administrative charge

Hope this helps! I wound up booking the Crane Estate, which is very similar to Turner Hill

Thanks so much with that info!  I was having second thoughts about my venue that I picked, and was seeing if I could find a more affordable place... but it turns out that where we picked (The Bradley Estates) will work out just fine... I was just panicking over the holiday weekend because I didn't expect to get info from Turner Hill very quickly... so I appreciate you giving me that info!

We attended a winter wedding at Turner with snow, warm fireplaces, and the staff was phenomenal. I am not sure if the staff was from an in-house caterer or on site. It was one of the most elegant weddings I had ever been to. The food was to die for. They had a six piece band that got everyone dancing all night. The one small isue was that it was a relatively large party and some of the guests were seated in the adjacent rooms from the main hall but it was otherwise just perfect.

We just got married at Turner Hill this past June and I couldn't recommend it more highly!  We loved it there!!  It was $9/person for a choice of 5 hors d'oeuvres, but they actually agreed to give us 7 choices for the same price.  We had the chilean sea bass and filet mignon as meal choices and they were $65 each.  there was a $1/person fee for 2 meal options.  Vendor meals are half price.  No cake cutting fee.  All of those prices already include tax and gratuity, which is great and can add on a lot if they aren't included.  All of that came to about $20k for 160 people.  For the bar, you can do open bar per person or by consumption (or cash obviously!)...we did by consumption and I think it was about $4000 including tax and gratuity (which are not included for drinks).   Hope this helps!
