Scrolls for Favors

Hi Everyone!

So instead of favors we are donating to the MS society since FI's father was diagnosed with MS about 5 years ago.  We want to put a scroll at each place setting to say that in leui of favors we donated.  Has anyone done this before and what kind of paper did they buy to print the scrolls on?  Then did you just buy ribbon to tie it with?  Just need ideas on how to do this

Thanks!!

I am so sorry to hear about your FIL! Could you have the person who is doing your invites/escort cards print up something on matching paper? That way you can stay consistant and have qaulity printing/paper.

We did a donation in lieu of favors and everyone thought it was a very nice and sweet touch (it was in honor of my mother).

Anyways, we just did the printing ourselves. We used nice paper from Michael's (maybe) and set up a template that would print 2 for every page. We then just printed everything and rolled them with and tied them with ribbon. I had the venue place them on the table settings.

In total, it only cost what the paper, ink and ribbon cost.... no more than $50 I think.

Edit: Oh and the paper we used was a fine linen type resume paper so it was super easy to print on and we just bought thin ribbon for like $2.99.

Sorry to hear about your FFIL.  I would just make a sign at the gift table or at the guest book table or wherever that says that a donation was made rather than spend the time/money on scrolls.  No one is going to take that home with them.
