Gordon's Liquors

Because we have a non-traditional venue for our wedding, we are also doing some different things with our food and bar service.  2 of my workmates are TIPS certified bartenders and have offered to oversee our drink service for us.  However this means that we would have to provide our own liquor and they suggested Gordon's.  I am not familiar with this store and am interested in how this would work.

Does anyone know if they deliver?  Also, is there a discount for ordering the liquor in bulk?

Any input would be appreciated..TIA!

Basically, from what I gather you can order in bulk and if you have any extra unopened boxes you can return them for a refund.

Makes me wish we could have looked for more venues where we could bring our own liquor

Hi!  I haven't used Gordon's yet, but they are providing the alcohol for our reception and the venue explained how it worked to us.  Basically you only pay for the liquor you use, and you return whatever isn't opened for money back (they described it like buying it on commission).  I think they deliver within the greater Boston area.  They seem to be really popular so maybe someone who has used them before will have some more info for you.  Hope that helps a little!

Wow...you can return what you don't use?  That's fantastic, though we will probably take home what hasn't been consumed.  ;o)

Gordon's is great.  I used to work for a caterer, and they were our exclusive beverage provider.  They deliver and pick up, and their staff is very knowledgable and friendly.  If you visit their Waltham store, find Rick (the owner), and he'll suggest wines for you :-)
