have you been able to find any reviews for this company on wedding wire or the wedding chanel or yelp?
  • edited December 2011
I have not and I'm not sure what your budget is but

Trish & Michael films are awesome
    as well as...
    McElroy

I LOVED McElroy but they were booked on my date.

I have a friend who contacted them to request a meeting and they never got back to her and its been months.  ive heard they are not good with getting back to you in a timely manner.  she ended up going to a different place because her wedding is in May and they still hadn't contacted her back.

Oh no!!  Hope I'm not too late, but please call SureShot Video.  I just used them for my wedding and I couldn't be happier.  We booked them somewhat last minute because we couldn't decide if we wanted a videographer.  Largely because of the cost.  I am SO HAPPY we went with them.  Jesse could not have been better - he was so unobtrusive, my mom didn't even notice he existed.  No blaring lights in your face, no pushing anyone over.  But he was there - he got there a few hours before the wedding, stayed till the last minute, was so professional - I just don't understand how he didn't cost more.  We got our youtube wedding video trailer just a little while after the wedding and it's so beautiful.  He did such an excellent job.  I can't say enough good things.  I just want to undo whoever left those reviews above.

We used SureShot Videography as well and they were great! I think the post above is confused with Sure Shot Productions. SureShot Videography was very responsive and contacted us within minutes of emailing them to see if they were available to film our wedding. I must say that they did a fantasic job at our wedding. They were on time, professionall and were very unnobtrusive!

My wedding DVD is beautiful and I could not have asked for anything better. I got more than I paid for with SureShot Videography. I strongly recommend everyone who is getting married to book them to film your wedding!

    Thank you again SureShot Videography!
  • After twenty-four weeks of being told that everything was fine and that the editors were working as quickly as possible, I was informed Thursday 1/26/12 that my wedding video from my 8/7/11 wedding is lost because of a supposed hard drive crash. If the editors had it, I would think that the footage would have been uploaded in more than one place, so I feel like I have been lied to this whole time. Jesse, the owner, was very responsive until after the wedding. In October, almost ten weeks after my wedding, Jesse emailed me back after three unanswered emails, and told me DVD turnaround time is eight weeks. The last time I heard from him was 11/2/11 when he told me that the editors were doing everything they can, and he thanked me for my patience. That was it. I ended up calling the studio on 12/30 and spoke with Keith who told me that I didn't have the finished product because they had no idea which editor had my film. At that point I figured something was really wrong, but I waited to hear back. I even suggested to Keith that my film was lost and that I would never get my video. Keith responded by laughing suggesting that that scenario was so far-fetched and would never happen. January 19-25, I was told that they found my film and they were sending it to a new editor. Then I got a call on 1/26 when Keith told me they had bad news, and that they lost my video. He said that 10 videos in total were lost. He said that they knew that the videos were gone, but they were waiting to tell the affected brides until they settled with their insurance company so they could get refunds for us. I was horrified! He laughed at me when I asked if my video was lost. I cannot believe that I will never be able to watch my husband and I exchange vows. No refund, if we ever actually get it, will make up for that.

  •  am also one Jesse's victims. Magnolia Wedding Films, SureShot Videography, SureShot Portraits.... ALL THE SAME LOSER!!!!!!

Our wedding was September 10th of 2011 and we hired him the February before the wedding. It was a promotion for the "premier package" deal and the price was excellent. Jesse told us that we would have our highlight video before we were home from our honeymoon and that our finished video would be done by the end of October, 6 weeks to complete. Sounded amazing so we hired him.

Instead of the usual $1200 it was only $850 and it was to include 6 hours of footage, 2 fully edited 90 minute HD DVD's, bride perpetration and family and friend interviews, a custom interactive DVD menu, a sterling silver plated DVD case with our wedding photo, and a fully edited 10 minute youtube highlight video. 3 months later, after getting in touch with the actual person that Jesse sent to film our wedding, we got a highlight video from him, not Jesse. It was only 3 minutes long, not 10 and was not at all the color OR quality that Jesse's other video's that were on Vimeo were and that I was expecting. Major disappointment. And when I questioned Jesse, he told me that "i find you have been real difficult since your wedding". WOW, what did I get myself into.....

Did anyone else hire SureShot based on that gorgeous wedding highlight video he posted on Vimeo? This was the link at one point http://vimeo.com/17459754 It was a cute young couple, the reception looked like some really cool old dive bar with wood paneling, etc... and one of the songs was a Goo Goo Dolls song, Black Balloon. I started poking around asking Jesse questions about it, because it was just so beautiful and I had another friend that wanted that location for a reception, and after he evaded my question for weeks, he finally told me that it was a wedding he filmed for friends in Ohio some time back. Wouldn't you know that he took the video down off of Vimeo that same week, and it has been missing ever since. So now, not only is he a lying thieving scumbag, but he's a plagiarizing one as well.

I wonder if the Mass Department of Revenue and the IRS know that he had everyone writing the checks to his name or his wife Veronica Clark's name instead of SureShot. Filming over 100 weddings a year and charging between $500-$1700 for services, he must have to pay some serious taxes? I have a scanned copy of his brochure that he gave me at our consult if anyone needs a copy for their records. I have given him every opportunity to redeem himself, either by returning my money or giving me my raw footage. I even let him know that I would be okay with just raw footage, as my new husbands beloved grandmother passed away right after the wedding and Jesse's video footage was the last of anything that we had documented with her..... He has chosen not to answer my emails or return my calls, so now I will proceed with my blood-sucking attorney (she's female and passed the bar, Jesse probably won't like that http://abovethelaw.com/2010/07/when-unemployed-law-students-attack/ ) Good luck to everyone else out there, I hope you fare better than we did....

I have him booked for November! Please let me know how your wedding goes!!!
  • NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw a lot of the reviews on here were positive so I went with this scummy company, don't be fooled. I now have no doubt that the "good reviews" are fake ones that the slimy owner Jesse Clark put up on his own! We booked him after finding this on Theknot.com, they should be ashamed for endorsing such a company. This company has all negative reviews if you Google them but all good ones on wedding websites, clearly the work of the owners. I went on BBB recently and they have a grade F and are flagged as a company that will probably change their name! Real shady stuff. Anyway, we booked them for our 4/28/12 wedding. Final payment was due 2 days before the wedding, but a week before Jesse charged our credit card the final payment. When I called for a refund, no answer (no surprising) and when I emailed him, he said "I haven't heard from you" He doesn't need to hear from me, the payment is due on 4/26 and it was only 4/20! So I told him to refund our account since a check was already in the mail. He never did... We went on our honeymoon and came back and saw that we still had a charge for over $600 from him!! We called and emailed him and never heard back so we had our credit card company get the money back after showing our contract and the voided check that he cashed right away!!! The day of my wedding Jesse didn't show up as promised, he sent another photographer, really nice photographer, but has since left the company.. My family took pictures on the side thank god or I would have NONE! After we got the money back ourselves, I have still never heard from this company regarding our pictures or video!! I don't believe I ever will... I was duped. I went by the wedding websites and not Google like I should have! Stay away people, this guy is a slime ball! My husband and I are filing a small claims lawsuit against him so we can get our money back and them I'm going to have to put the dress back and on and get "real" professional pictures taken! The worst part, we thought we had a videographer to help us remember parts of the night like our first dance, the speeches, etc... But we don't have anything now... And all of the pictures with my mother and stepfather, gone. None of my family took those pictures since they were before the ceremony... I don't want this company to do this to anyone else!! Run people!!!
  • I had this company video my wedding in April and am now seeing all sorts of scam stuff.. is there any sort of civil action suit against jesse? It has been over 2 months and I have not heard one thing from them since the day of the wedding, despite phone calls and emails.  If anyone knows any information on a civil suit or how to possibly get my videos, please email me jennifersewellrnc@gmail.com  thank you!! • I too was scammed. He did my wedding 3-24-12 and nothing. I have read the news articles and am trying to reach out to the detective in MA to see if any of our footage is on the 4 hard drives he turned over to the police. I would love to get in touch with the actual videographer he hired in miami to shoot our wedding. I am trying to see if that gentleman has any footage. If anyone can hears anything else please email nicky4840@aol.com

Jesse Clark, a/k/a Jesse J. Clark of SureShot Videography and Magnolia Films responds to the recent allegations.
  • Hey everyone i just read through all the comments.  I too had booked with Jesse Clark and it was 1 year prior to my wedding.  3 months before the wedding which was June 2, 2012i wanted to get together with Jesse to go over all the plans, etc..  Well Jesse's wife Veronica claimed he was sick, but would get back to me.  I waited 2 weeks and called several times and emails etc.. and finally spoke to Jesse.  Jesse told me that my wedding was months away and for me to chill out.. I  flipped out on him and told him I wont do business with such an ass**** and i am canceling my contract.  He got me for the $250 deposit and that was fine because my gut just told me this guy was no good..  I ended up going with BP Video and the owner is Ara Gelenian and he was great.  We got our wedding video last week and i am so happy i listened to my gut feeling about Jesse.  I feel so bad for everyone he has scammed.  Its just awful and shame on the goverment to allow him to get away with something like this!!
  • Hey everyone, i noticed that on all the news articles and posts about Jesse that he gave a milbury address to people.  I went back and looked at were i sent him my deposit and it appears to be a different adress so i wanted to leave it on here in case it is helpful to any of you looking for this guy:

Jesse Clark, Owner SureShot Videography 63 Clark Road Fiskdale, MA 01518 Telephone: (508) 690-0093
  • DO NOT BOOK HIM!  HE IS A SCAMMER AND I NEVER GOT ANY OF MY VIDEO FOOTAGE.  I BOOKED HIM FOR MAY 26.  EVERY PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.  JUST GOOD HIM!! HIS NAME IS JESSE CLARK.  REPEAT DO NOTTTTTT USE THIS COMPANY

[QUOTE]Oh no!!
