Inexpensive hotel venues (or any other inexpensive venues) in MetroWest

My fiance and I are looking for the least expensive hotel to have our wedding at. It will be relatively small, about 75-100 people. Other venue suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Doubletree Bedford Glen gets good reviews here.

Is there a maximum amount of money you'd like to spend for the whole reception or a max per person? That will definitely help the girls here give you good suggestions.

    How "metrowest"?

We held our reception at the Doubletree in Westborough and it is affordable, depending on the package you go with. Let me know if you have any questions about it and I can answer them through pm.

There's also the Crown Plaza in Framingham, the Sheraton in Framingham and the Doubletree in Waltham- all relatively on the same level as the Doubletree in Westborough. A little more expensive is the Newton Marriott, which I loved but it was booked for our day, and the Westin in Waltham (not affordable at all though).

    hth!

I would like to spend $20 - $25 per person for food. We haven't established an exact budget but I'm thinking $10,000 for the entire wedding while my fiance thinks we can do it $3000 - $5000...haha yeah right. I would like to do it in Fall. I've found its hard to find any hotels in the area with grounds to take pictures. I'm very open so any suggestions. I said hotel because I just think it would be easier to have everything at one place. I am also very concerned with anyone driving after drinking all night.

This is my dream venue. Its way too expensive and my fiance said its too far away.

At 20 to 25 per person, all of those hotels I listed are above your budget. Have you thought about just renting a VFW type hall and bringing in your own caterer? That might get you close to what you want to spend.

I figured thats what people would suggest. I know it sounds horrible, but I'd rather get married at the town hall then get married at a Legion or VFW. I was just wondering if there was such thing as a venue in the metrowest area that had that type of pricing. Guess not...back to the drawing board! Thanks for the input!

What about renting a tent and having it on someone's property? There's a field in the town I grew up in that's on the edge of woods that I'm sure I could get pretty cheap. Does that get ridiculously expensive? I know I'd have to rent basically everything.

Depending on the size of the tent and the cost of the rentals it could be pretty expensive. But you never know. I'd contact some rental companies and see what deals they can give you.

Oh and I just thought of a venue:

In Westborough, there's a golf club called Indian Meadows. We had our rehearsal dinner there and I know they do weddings. I think it was $30 per person for the italian buffet that we had. (w/out any alcohol costs). And they also do ceremonies outside which looked very pretty.

The Myriad Ballroom in Mendon is really inexpensive - i forget how much exactly, but i want to say it was about $30 a person or less

My girlfriend got married at the Tierrel room in Quincy,Ma. I think she paid around 50ish. Maybe you can look into that possibility.  Or try a restaraunt as a venue.
    Good luck.

Thank you everyone for your input! I really appreciate the help. I've been busy emailing all these venues. I think I may try the Cape to see if I can get any off-season deals.
