Boston Bachelorette Party

wanted to see if you ladies would be able to help.  I am in one of my best friends weddings next April.  I am trying to think of ideas for her bachelorette party.  She does NOT want the party girl bachelorette (no clubs, strippers, excesive drinking).

So far I am think going to a spa and doing mani/pedis.  After the I have thought about a mystery dinner theater or maybe something cheesy like bowling.  I am not set on either of these ideas.

I will invite all the girls to do a slumber party at my house at the end of the night.  I plan on getting an assortment of desserts and champagnes.  We will watch cheesy chick flicks and stuff like that.

I am just looking for other things to do in the evening.  I would like something kinf of unique, but I can't think of anything!

I went to this a month ago with a friend and had so much fun!  You really don't need to be any good at painting...trust me!

I think that sounds like a lot of fun. I agree that an activity between the spa day and sleepover would be nice. I've done a mystery theater thing on a cruise in the harbor and would not recommend that at all. I've heard Howl at the Moon is fine (dueling pianos), or something quieter, a paint your own pottery thing. Made by Me lets you bring snacks and wine and at off times (like, evening, not day time when the families are coming) they will reserve a table or the downstairs.

There is a company that does really great walking tours of the city that are focused on chocolate. They do tours of Beacon Hill, the South End, Back Bay, Faneuil Hall/the North End and Harvard Square in Cambridge. They are about two hours long, and throughout the tour you stop at all different places. Most of the time you get a sample as well as some time to look around the shop .

  • I went on the murder mystery dinner cruise in Boston Harbor...

    cheesy, over priced and underwhelming.

  • I wouldn't recommend the Boston Harbor murder mystery cruise either. It was a lot of money for bad food and a cheesy story. Only handful of people actually participated in figuring out the clues. Most people on board seemed to lose interest half way through.
