Union Street Restaurant

Has anyone been to a function here? Did you like it? What did you like about it? What did you not like about it? What food was good? We're looking to have our RD here and would like some feedback. TIA!

Are you talking about the one in Newton or the one in the South End, Boston?

Didn't know there were two! I'm not from Boston :) I'm referring to the one in Newton.

I have never been to a function there but love Union St. My girlfriends and I often go there for dinner and drinks. The only thing you might want to keep in mind is if your function is on the 2nd floor there is not a bathroom up there. Other than that it's great!

I've never been to the one in Newton, but at my old job, we used to have our holiday function at the one in Boston and it was always nice, so I am sure that they one in Newton is too.

I have been to a function at Union Street and their food is great. The function room is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. The only thing is that they do have a bar upstairs and the restaurant had promised us that we would have the entire floor (we had about 50 people at our function) and they did not come honor that. So we had bar goers upstairs with us. We were separate from them but we could hear and see them. The other thing is parking. The parking can be liited in the area so you might want to keep that in mind as well.
