Ughh invites!!

These invites are a PITA!!! We couldn't get the printer working, then we couldn't get the color to work, then the printer ran out of ink, then it wouldn't accept the cartridge, then after many attempts to fix it, FI realized he didn't take the clear sticker off the cartridge first.

Then, we finally got it printing in color and black, but it was off center. So we played around with that, and finally fixed it by spacing each line over a bit. We;re going pretty well now, except that we have to feed the paper in one at a time. Oh yearh, and the printer eats an invitation every once in a while.

And also, as I'm typing this, I'm realizing another problem. I cleared off a nice spot on the desk to put the printed invites... moved things out of the way, wiped it down... right at the level of FMIL's two giant dogs to drool on.

If you read this and followed it, as I am trying to fend two dogs off the desk and the other two off the chair, then you deserve a cookie!

AW!.. I think you're the one you deserves a cookie! Just remember, they'll look awesome when they are done.

BTW- what grade do you teach? My district is looking for a long term sub starting in sept for pre-school.

    Aww thanks!

October, I am licensed in early childhood, so preschool might be interesting... Funny story, I used to think I wanted to be a preschool teacher. In college, my preschool practicum was the biggest nightmare I had ever lived through (at the time). The teachers were lazy, the activities pointless, and the kids had so many behavior problems! Then, I had to sub in a preschool class last fall, and that afternoon... oh dear..  They had pulled different people from the building to sub at different times, and I had never been so happy to see the guidance counselor walk into a room in my life!

    I want my cookie!

Seriously though, just picture the day they're in the mail and out of your hands and take a deep breath. You can do it!! As a girl who hand fed each invite and envelope through the printer and hand cut everything, I feel your pain!

And I wasn't kidding about the cookie. ;)

Hmm I'll work on the cookies. I think I owe all the knotties who have read my posts tonight a smorgasboard (did I spell that right???)

And October, thank you! I will add that address to the list!
