Engagement Photo Locations?

We just booked our photographer, now we need to plan the engagement photos!  The wedding is in NH, but I would like more of a city feel for these pics, so I was thinking of Boston.  However, in order to sell this to my fiance I need to go up with some specific locations.  I don't know the city very well, so any suggestions?  Also, our photographer is getting pretty booked up for the next few months, so what are some thoughts about winter engagement pics?  Thanks!

    The Boston Gardens is a beautiful area!  In the winter time, they have a skating rink and its beautiful...we are having our shot in October when the leaves are changing and the fall flowers have bloomed.  Good luck!

    We did ours at the Boston Common in May.  They came out beautiful - good luck!

    We just did ours at Christopher Columbus Park and Long Wharf down on the Waterfront. They came out beautifully. We were still able to see some of the city skyline, but also lots of greenery and some of the water as well.
