Bra shopping?

My MOH and I are going shopping tomorrow, and we need to find her a strapless bra. She always has a problem with strapless because she is larger on top, and she had mentioned trying to find a specialty shop of some kind. Any ideas on where we can look? I think we will be in Nashua, then eventually heading towards Lexington for flowers. If we bought a long line bra, would it be too visable behind her satin dress? Thanks!

I used to be a bra expert hehehe (worked for VS for 5 years). The longline may be too visible with a silk dress. Is she larger than a D? I think Lady Grace specializes in larger bra sizes. I think they are in the plaza where Trader Joe's and Outback Steakhouse are in Nashua. Is her dress available to bring to try on with the bra? That would be the best thing to do. Strapless bras honestly stink, I think no matter what size you are, I haven't ever found one I liked much.
She should get measured also, which can be done at most lingerie shops, and try on every strapless they have. Sizing can differ (I've been a B or C depending on the way the cup is, demi, padded, non padded etc.) Also, the cup size in a 34C is the same cup size in a 36B, at least that was the story at VS. So if she measures a larger back size and she is typically a D she may need to go down to a C.

I would highly recommend Lady Grace--its kind of an old lady store, but they are great at fitting bras.  I got my longline from them and I am pretty hard to fit.  You need to grab a saleslady and have them measure you and they will bring you bras (they keep a lot of the longline and strapless in the back).  You may want to bring her dress with you.

I need a strapless bra for my RD dress, and I found one at Target of all places.  I didn't want to spend much $$ as I don't wear strapless bras often, and it totally worked.

I know that you didn't mention going into Boston, but I highly recommend Intimacy in the Copley mall.  They are amazing.

There's a specialty lingerie shop in Andover center, www.nightanddaylingerie.com. The saleswoman at Cristina's said they have a good selection.

I just bought a strapless bra from the place in Andover...it fits great, but I haven't exactly tried dancing or anything with it yet so it's hard to tell how it will hold up...just to warn  you though, it cost way more than i usually spend on bras!
