Whats up?? Im bored off my rocker and cant think of anything to do but wrap my brothers christmas gift that I neglected to wrap until now - my dad/brothers are visiting me tomorrow for our christmas so I kinda need to do it!!

Anything interesting going on tonight? Funny anecdote? Emberassing christmas story? Anything???

I saw Couples Retreat last night.  Some funny moments, but mostly dumb.  Sorry, I haven't got much.

Well, they all started out in a big group talking. Then they broke up into couples, and they keep retreating to one of their rooms, coming back, switch couples, talk for a while, someone heads to the room. I don't know. It's odd. So my guess is swingers

Couples Retreat did nothing for me except make me want to go to wherever they filmed the movie.

We watched a bunch of movies over the past couple of nights - Julie & Julia, The Stepfather (1987), Marley & Me, and a bunch more.  I think Couples Retreat was my least fave.  Bad, dumb preditable ending.

I also wondered how all of the wives who were probably in their late 30's ALL had bikini perfect bodies while the husbands were all kinda schlubby.  Doesn't seem fair or real.  ha!

I just got a FB invite to the money making party, I said MAYBE as my response whether I will go or not. Because im a pussy and hate confrontation I will say its because im unemployed. I really REALLY do not want to go and cant bring myself to support stuff like that. Adam and I paid for our wedding ourselves without a jack and jill, because we made a budget we could afford and stuck to it, omg!!!

I liked julie and julia, mostly for whatshername that plays julia childe, I like her a lot. We watched 500 days of summer recently, holy god good movie!! Extract was ok, not incredibly good though; Inglorious basterds was hilarious though. I cant think of any new movies weve seen recently. We see so many its hard to remember.

Meryl Streep is great in the movie.  We have Inglorious Basterds too, maybe we'll see it tomorrow.

We also saw This is It - the Michael Jackson movie.  It was good.  I forgot how talented he was.  His music brings back good memories.  He had some great songs.

I don't have an embarressing Christmas story so much as the usual disaster, so probably not that entertaining. 

As for tonight, we did score a lot of Christmas leftovers which is a plus.  He is sleeping up for work tomorrow and I'm enjoying my new Christmas cocktail (korbel with a splash of cranberry juice, very exotic I know) and hanging out here while watching Elf

Ooooh that sounds good then!! We had sparkling wine mimosas yesterday and I was tempted to buy a pomegranet to mix with the sparkling wine but I felt lazy and didnt want to prepare it so I just did mimosas instead.

Yes!  Right there with you on that one....honestly after this years debacle we're thinking highly of skipping next year altogether.  Go away somewhere tropical or something.

ETA:  One of these years I want to make it to Times Square for NYE, before I'm too old to appreciate it.

We'll be spending NYE at my parents' w/ my dad. We'll probably end up ordering Chinese or pizza. I wanted to do something low-key this year (heck, it's low-key every year, but I prefer it that way.)

We got some costco gift cards for christmas so we are thinking of buying some huge steaks, some huge jumbo prawns and feasting on those with this delicious lemon and dill dip I make. Then get wasted!!!

I do not have an embarassing Christmas story, but a kind of cute one?

Buddy and I had to do the traditional Christmas stuff via Skype this year, and we were watching my youngest cousin Dylan (2 years old) open his presents via my brother's laptop. Since his father his Scottish, he's very used to the webcam thing - he talks to his grandparents in Scotland all the time.

With every gift he opened he ran to the camera to show me, wearing a little Buzz Lightyear jet pack (cutest thing EVER), "Hey, Kelly, check this out!" or he'd tell his dad "Be right back, Daddy, I'm going to show Kelly!"

Whereas my mom, dad, brother and sister spent all of Christmas morning bellowing into the mic, "IS IT ON? CAN YOU SEE US? HELLO? MERRY CHRISTMAS!!" and the two year old is working it like a pro.

I get to party this New Year's! I have always had to work bright on early on the 1st, but this year I don't have to be in until 3. And another couple we are friends with is throwing a party. I'm soo excited!
