My son is having a beach wedding in June and then a reception at the bride's parents when they return. It is the middle of June and I have not been asked if the groom's family would like to invite anyone. I overhear the bride to be talking about the wedding sayng that they were finalizing the guest list, her mom was inviting everyone she worked with, etc. I have offered to pay for the cake which is a small amount in a wedding, but I really did think we would be allowed SOME input towards the guest list. Is this the norm now? Am I out of line?
