Winter Wedding

Hi All,  Any fun suggestions for a winter wedding?  We are jewish, so no Christmas themes please.  We were thinking of putting snowflakes on the cake and/or invites.  Thanks!

I am also a fellow Jew; try posting on the Jewish board to get some good ideas.

Personally, I'm not into anything too hookey; I might be inclined to use light blues if you are going to do snowflakes and things like that - that would match the Israeli flag.

snowflakes are nice, also just using the ice blue, ivory, white color scheme helps set the tone. i don't know what month your wedding is but jewel tones always look especially good in winter--not just red and green, but rich blues, eggplant, amber...i love deep colors! if your wedding isn't in december you can have red without it looking too christmassy. though if it's feb. any red flowers will be wildly expensive so you might want to stay away from that.
and PSA-- if your username is your real name you should change your user id. anyone can read these boards and better to be careful.

I am also having a winter wedding. We're catholic (sort of) but I do NOT want it to be christmasy with red and green colors. It's black tie and very formal. I am doing a glitter snowflake on my invitations. They are by ENCORE. Encore adds glitter to the ink - very pretty without being overdone. And I am also having lots and lots of ice sculptures!  My colors are white, silver and navy and the girls are wearing faux fur shrugs. I am also wearing a fur shrug. I decided against muffs but muffs look adorable. Instead I opted to put mini pinecones in the bouquets.  The centerpieces will have this gel-like stuff in the vases and they look just like ice! They will also be illuminated and will have white branches sticking out above the flowers. There will also be silver and blue balls and pinecones in the floral arrangements. So thats how I am incorporating the winter theme. Hope I helped a little!
