to invite or not?? that is the question...

I have been with my present company for quite a while and i have planned to invite all my co workers to the reception. Last month my boss hired on a new employee and she use to date my fiancé 2 years back, (it ended badly). I have been friendly with her to avoid work drama, and put the past behind. So do add her to the guest list so she doesn't feel excluded or invite her and hope her and my fiancé aren't awkward??

  • Ditto, it's up to your FI.  Honestly, I don't think she expects an invite to your wedding.

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • She doesn't automatically get an invite.  If you decide to invite coworkers (and their SOs), send the invites to their house and keep wedding related talk to a minimum while at work.

  • I think it's nice that you don't want her to be singled out, given the history, but if I were in her shows, I wouldn't expect an invite based on history and timing. I recommend don't invite her, weddings are for those you are close to you to celebrate and share in your special memories.
