1. if you could have ANY animal as a pet, what would it be and what would you name it? A dog. I would probably name it Buckeye.

We ate at a Michelin star restaurant in Stockholm a couple weeks ago. It.was.incredible. I started with wild duck breast, boar sausage with sauerkraut with balsamic sauce. Second was weever (a type of poisonous fish) with pancetta, butter sauce and new potatoes. The desert though. Holy.crap. Cloudberry crumble. I practically licked that bowl clean.

5. What is your favourite spa activity? You can only pick one.

MASSAGE. I'd murder for one right now.

1. if you could have ANY animal as a pet, what would it be and what would you name it? Horse, I don't know what I'd name it though - I'd have to meet it first.

Yes, I've bought a bunch of stuff, although we mostly get deals on restaurants or stuff we'd do anyway (H wants to golf, I bought him a coupon for golf) rather than wasting money on random crap. It's the best.

3. Most expensive thing you have ever purchased that wasn't WR, a car or a house? Business class plane tickets. As far as physical things go, that'd be my Louboutins. ETA: Ok actually computers are more expensive, but I forgot about those.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had. My friend and I went to Athens, and her dad's (very wealthy) friend had promised to show us around but ended up being out of town. So he sent his nephew to take us out to a nice lunch. We went to a restaurant on the top of Lykavittos Hill which was just insanely good - I had scorpion fish in some sauce that was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life.

Thank God, it's ridiculously slow here right now.

1. if you could have ANY animal as a pet, what would it be and what would you name it?

I think a Koala bear would be pretty awesome, and very cuddly. Not sure what I would name it. Maybe Shooter, as in bamboo shooter? I'm clearly not very clever.

I get Groupon emails and updates on my phone. I have yet to purchase anything only because they are all usually for Seattle. I'm not going to drive 45 minutes each way to save $10 on something. But sometimes they have closer ones, so I'm sure I'll buy soon.

3. Most expensive thing you have ever purchased that wasn't WR, a car or a house?

It's basically a tie I think between our computers and our TVs. H doesn't like to go cheap there.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had.

Hmmm, this is difficult. I have had some meals that were really good, but we're made even better by the company we had with us. Based on just the food though, probably a steakhouse back at home we go to. It's at a casino and my dad always has tons of free points, so we order and eat like Kings, and it's always amazingly delicious.

5. What is your favourite spa activity? You can only pick one.

While I do love massages, my hands down favorite thing to get is a facial. It's just so unbelievably relaxing, and makes you feel great both while you are getting it and after. Massages are nice also, but since I like them to work hard and get the knots out, it's not usually relaxing. So definitely facials.

3. Most expensive thing you have ever purchased that wasn't WR, a car or a house? A computer. Dropped almost $3k on a gaming rig from Alienware years ago.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had. We were once treated to the tasting menu dinner at Nobu. That will be my last supper if I ever have to have one. It was the only time I ever had fish literally melt in my mouth.

5. What is your favourite spa activity? You can only pick one. Full on pedicure. There's something so decadent about that.

We've gotten dining discounts (The Melting Pot, gelato shop, etc. ) and we are going to see Zac Brown Band at FedEx field in June with a package we got on Living Social. I can't wait!

3. Most expensive thing you have ever purchased that wasn't WR, a car or a house? Hmm, our laptop, I think. We just bought it about 9 months ago. *Edit: I lied, it was definitely my flat screen TV. About $800.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had. DH and I went to a little Italian restaurant after seeing the Lion King for our Christmas gift to each other. We had fried calamari with marinara, I had shrimp and vegetables in a white wine garlic sauce and a side of pasta. Dessert was some sort of chocolately cake with homemade vanilla gelato. I just ate lunch and I'm hungry again just thinking about that meal.

5. What is your favourite spa activity? You can only pick one. Manicure. But I've never had a massage or a facial before, so this is really just based on my lake of spa experiences.

Hmm...probably our livingroom furniture (2K) - but personally I spent $400 on headphones for work once.

Just last week, H made country style ribs with grilled corn and baked potatoes. Holy crap it was delicious.

I was there with my church back in HS, we were working on a church and working in a medical clinic and these two guys from the neighborhood would cook for us and make homemade limeade every day. They would make a fire in the yard and cook over it. So.awesome.

Any time I go to Bastille in Alexandria (cfas knows what I'm talking about). Last time I was there I had a duck confit that was overwhelming in its awesomeness. Never before have I actually felt sadness when a plate was empty.

3. Most expensive thing you have ever purchased that wasn't WR, a car or a house? My new dresser. Financed, but we've paid close to a third off already (got it in February). It actually cost more than our bed, I think, or was right there cost-wise. And I'm thrilled that it's a Bernhardt.

Probably one of the breakfast buffets at the Sheraton Waikiki. I had waffles, and I think I added some pineapple to them, and got coconut syrup. Amazing.

MASSAGE, with aromatherapy (like at an Aveda). A long massage.

It was a family-owned buffet-type place where you picked your meat and three veg. We used to go every Friday, and there were only about ten tables and a gunshot in the front door. Seeing the family cook it made it even better. I'd pick that over fine dining anytime. My favorite was the fried pork chops, creamed corn, green beans, and fried okra. And they had the BEST sweet tea. Aw, I miss that place.

When I was in college, this woman I knew made us this delicious leek and white wine pasta. It was sprinkled with romano cheese. So good. I've looked everywhere for the recipe, but no luck.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had. On our honeymoon, we ate at Lavo in the Palazzo. H & I both had amazing steaks with different sauces, then all the sides were a la carte, so we got an order of broccoli and a baked potato. The broccoli was literally at least two full bunches and the baked potato was the best we ever had...Baked in olive oil, salt and pepper, and served in a small cast iron skillet with rock sea salt on the bottom. And it came with this spicy sour cream. OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I'd buy a maine coon kitten because my parents have two maine coon cats right now and I will miss them when I move out. I don't know what I'd name it.

I have groupon and living social accounts. I used the groupon to buy book deals (B&N and a local used book store). I've only used living social for the Japan donation.

My alienware laptop. The thing is massive and overpowered, but I love it. It is the laptop they use on Big Bang Theory, to give you an idea of the nerdiness of it.

I love my mom's roast beef dinners and her pizza casserole, but the filet mignon I had the night FI proposed was pretty memorable as well.

I've never actually done any spa activity before. No manicures or massages or facials or anything. My sister got a coupon for a free manicure and wants me to use it, haha.

1. if you could have ANY animal as a pet, what would it be and what would you name it? I would love to have my own horse. I don't know what I would name it though, it takes me a few days to settle on a name when I get a pet.

Acutally, I bought two and split it with three of my friends. We just bottled the wine this weekend and wound up with 10 bottles of white and ten bottles of red each.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had. Roasted duck and the most mouth-watering mashed potatos ever on the Champs Elyses in Paris. Also came with a trio of chocolate sorbets that still makes me drool just to think about it.

I get groupon updates every day and have bought mostly restaurant certificates from there; also restaurant certs. from restaurant.com.

Dining room table when I was married to my ex-. Outside of furniture and computers, the most expensive thing I ever bought myself was a diamond and fire opal ring after I got divorced. I missed wearing my diamond rings and wanted to treat myself.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had.
Any meal at the restaurant where DH and I got married, the "best" restaurant in our city and our favorite. We usually start with a martini by the best bartender I've ever met; have a pear, endive, gorgonzola, and walnut salad that we split; split two apps -- usually escargot in butter sauce and an amazing potato tart; the entree varies, but I often get the filet mignon; dessert is always a warm chocolate souffle with fresh berries, by far the best dessert I've ever had in my life.

I joined Groupon but I've never actually purchased anything off of it. I have yet to see something come up I'm interested in (and I forget to check daily).

Vet care for my pup. She had Hemorragic Gastroentilitis (sp?) last summer which is a stomach bug where it starts bleeding. It happened over a weekend so she was at the vet ER 1 night and her regular vet the rest of the week .

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had.
Not gourmet but the best meal to me is Maryland crabs, corn on the cob, tater salad, ceaser salad, and deviled eggs.

Alienware laptops basically have the power of a desktop. You get really powerful hardware but those things are a beast to carry around and get very hot.

I assume your H is either a PC gamer or uses modeling/rendering software :) Both are very graphics-intensive and require a high powered machine.

1. if you could have ANY animal as a pet, what would it be and what would you name it?
I'm boring, I would just have dogs. I'd love to have my own dog rescue/sanctuary.

Nope

3. Most expensive thing you have ever purchased that wasn't WR, a car or a house?
My camera ($250) and Garmin GPS watch ($300) come to mind.

4. Tell me about one of the best meals you've ever had.
When I was in Canada, we had one of my favorite meals of all time. It included 2 huge salmon that we had caught ourselves, green beans with feta and walnuts, and derby pie. I think what makes it stand out is that I was so hungry from fishing/actively recreating all day. Nom.

ETA: Actively recreating looks really weird. I meant doing recreational activities...like fishing, and boating, and hiking...lol

5. What is your favourite spa activity? You can only pick one.
I've never been to a spa...
