Re: For those of you who say it's slow

• Me too, Dani. Me too.
• firefox is awesome, fische you can add an adblocker too to get rid of the crap on the right. That cleans things up nicely.
• NEVERMIND! It worked when I clicked Mark all as read this time. THIS TIME. I swear it wasn't working before.

HOOT!

• That's really weird Vally. I use Firefox also, and I haven't really had any problems with it. Occasionally I need to refresh once before it changes to gray, but it always does it. Sorry you're not having much luck =\

• Dani, your new pic is awesome. You're hot!
• I've never used Firefox, I've just downloaded it at home and here for The Knot to work, so how do I use ad blocker?

• Arb, I'm in FF and clicking on the "1 minute ago" link to get to the thread, and when I go back to the main page, it is grayed. That's weird it won't do it for you.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 go there and add to firefox, then start right clicking on stuff to block.

• Fish- Go to Tools > Add-Ons > Get Add-ons > Search for Ad Blocker > Add it to Firefox

As you scroll over images that can be blocked a little white box will appear in the upper right and it will say Block.

• Oh my god. Adblocker, I love you.

• I don't think I've ever experienced P&E this fast before. Thanks, guys!
• Now I feel all sad. I'm not even going to attempt to download Firefox, because I'm afraid the government will come crashing into my cube and confiscate my pooter. So I'll just deal with the slow and the stupid knot napkins at work. Blergh!! Yell
• It's still pretty slow for me on Firefox, but I'm downloading Ad Blocker now. And the grey/black thing still isn't working for me.
• I have IE at work, and it's MAYBE 5 seconds slower loading than the old boards were. But, I'm on IE 6.0. We can't download the newer IE versions at work. And, I can download FF, but our firewall blocks any actual traffic from using it. So, it's useless. I use it at home, though, and I don't notice much difference from the load speed here. The bolding works just fine for me, as far as I can tell. I'm good with the new boards.

• So, I download FF and...it is just as slow if not slower tha IE7. Oh and this thread isn't even showing up in FF. Nothing after the "Good Morning" thread is showing. (this msg is coming to you from IE7).

SO mmuch for trying that. I think my problem is I am running Avast in the background and it scans every single one of those frickin ads every single frickin time. And no, I am not about to turn off my virus protection just so I can knot.

• I've tried using Firefox each day from work and it never has all the recent threads no matter what I do. So, I'm sticking with IE for now. At least there I get to see all the conversations.
• I haven't noticed a huge difference between IE and Firefox in terms of speed. However, both seem a little bit faster than they were yesterday.
• The variation is so weird. For me, Firefox is slower than it was with the old boards, but IE is excruciatingly slow. The graying thing works on my Firefox computer, and all the threads show up.

• I'm using Opera. Previously, I hadn't noticed much slowness at all (eg. last night) but today is definitely far slower.
• Oh, and the greying only works on the main 'Planning' page. Nothing comes up grey when I click the magnifying glass, and the name next to each of those threads is mine even if I wasn't the last to post in them, which is the annoyance for me as I can't keep track of my posts and if anyone has posted after I have.
• I'm using firefox and it's ridiculously slow.
• Speed is a problem for me in Firefox. I can't imagine how bad IE would be.

• I'm on firefox and don't find it to be particularily fast. It certianly isn't slower than the old format, but I would be hesitant to call it faster. It's also possibly my expectations are too high. I assumed that having a brand new format, they would have made the former speed issues a main priority to fix in this new version. Maybe thats just not in the cards.
