I have three bridesmaids (no maid of honor), and I'm not requiring my bridesmaids to do anything except show up, celebrate the day with me and wear the dress and shoes that I am paying for. Personally, I have a hard time making them pay for a dress that I choose, though I know it is common practice for them to do so. I will also pay for their hair, makeup, etc, if they want it. Because I am paying for everything, is it customary to still pay for a gift, or can the dress count as the gift.
