S/O -Favorite outfit

What's your absolute favorite outfit you currently have?
Bonus points if you post a picture of yourself in said outfit.

Edit: Yes, I changed the name of this post. I realized It's not really a poll at all.

Re: S/O -Favorite outfit

  • That's a tough one, I'm going through fb now looking for an outfit.

  • I don't have a photo offhand of it but currently my go to's have been two:

    Casual:
skinny, distressed, black jeans, flowy white wide-v neck tank top with elastic waist and a black buttonless cardigan with a brown leather jacket, brown ankle-length cowboy boots and a cream loose-knit scarf.

    More going-outish:
super-skinny indigo jeans, thigh high black leather stiletto boots, grey hip-length wool sweater with a cowl neck and low-slung leather belt, black knit cap with a black flower on it and a fuschia wool mid-thigh length winter frock coat. It's awesomesauce.

I am loving this pink sweater right now. I wore it with dark straight-leg jeans this day, but you can't see those.

EDIT - And I am fully aware that a sweater does not constitute an outfit, but that's all I've got.

  • Gosh, I don't know...I have too many.  I'm going through my pictures and i don't repeat.

I guess I'll go with my wedding dress bc I've worn that twice and might a 3rd time.

  • Ink skinny jeans, black knee high boots, jewel toned cami, and a black cardigan.

Or ink bootcut jeans, leopard print peeptoe heels, maroon beaded strap top.

  • These boots get hard to wear at times. They are pointy. Both heel and tow. But they look great.

  • Gretch- That sweater looks good on you, good color!
Alix- those sound awesome. I'm dying for a good pair of boots but all the ones I like are about $400 and I cant constitute paying that much when I live in this hell they call Arizona.

Shelly- How have you gotten so many uses out of your dress?

This is my favorite, I'd wear this dress everyday if I could. I "borrowed" it from my friend in May and its since gone everywhere with me and I don't know that she will be getting it back haha

  • I do have a high wasted pencil skirt I like, it makes me look like I have a butt.

  • This weekend I did a photoshoot for a wedding book.

The florist I had is making a book and asked me to be in it.  This was for fall/winter bouquets, and she asked me to do spring as well, so we'll see, but I'll be a published bride :)

  • Since it's been a balmy 12 degrees for the past few weeks I've been layering a lot of sweaters paired w/ skinny jeans or leggings, Uggs for bumming around, knee high suede boots for going out. Can't forget a scarf and wool coat.

depnds on the occasion... one of my favorites is the outift I put together for my e-pics. see here: http://www.kdloftisphotography.com/blog/2009/10/21/annie-blake-engaged

another is a businessy-casual-type outfit (no pics available) that is a grey and white patterned trapeze top with white suiting pants, and grey heels.

another is this red drop waist dress with these silver pinstripes, that comes to about mid-thigh. I feel nearly naked if I wear the dress alone, so I pair it with dark straight leg jeans and silver flats. again, no pics available.

  • I got a red wool pea coat for Christmas and I love it. Goes well with this scarf I got in Germany.

  • Shelly- thats awesome! I love my 2 pencil skirts for that reason as well. Although, finally at the age of 22 I've got a little bit of a butt.

Pooh- Your E pics are cute! I really like the colors.

P.s. I'm really jealous of everyones opportunity to wear coats and scarves and boots. Stupid Arizona...
  • Hah! You'd be singing a differnet tune if you had to traipse through an inch of slush sitting on top of an inch of ice while snow falls about you, melts into your hair so you resemble a drowned rat and are in an constant state of near-popsicle from temperatures in the minus teens and a windchill in the minus twenties. Trust me. Count your blessings you're not perpetually blue like me ;)

  • thank you dear. too bad the photog didn't blog the shoes, they are awesome. and normally, I'd be sharing in the jealousy, but not this winter. it sucks. it's freaking cold but not a single snowflake to be had.

  • Haha well I grew up in Alaska and I got sick and tired of the cold and ice and snow all. the. time. but now that I've moved away, I miss it. In moderation.
  • I grew up in South Africa so I HATE it with a burning passion. I swear I get depressed in winter.

  • We're talking about moving and I'm definitely looking for a happy medium. I want a decent summer with a mild but wintery winter. And Autumn. I've never really lived anywhere that has Autumn.
  • well, we've got the mild winter...
but HOT and HUMID summer (which I actually don't mind) and no autumn. sometime in October, sometimes November, the weather abruptly changes from summer to winter, like over the course of a week, maybe two.

  • You are all so fashionable!  I so wish I could pull off things like pencil skirts and tall boots.  Stupid hips/thighs/calves.  ::le sigh::

I'm all about the boot-cut jeans with a cute top.  Lately I've been particularly partial to this grey, 3/4-length sleeve, scoop-neck sweater (sorry, it's not a great picture but you get the idea):

  • Whatever is clean and doesn't require ironing.

  • Well, I have a couple of jeans that I *love* and some other stuff, although my clothing wardrobe has become much more boring in the last couple of years.

Of the stuff I have a pic of, this orange & yellow halter is my favorite. It was uber-flattering on my pre-pregnancy body. We'll see if my boobs ever get small enough to fit in it again. Embarassed

  • Roxy, I think you should move to Seattle/Portland or the mid Atlantic. It seems like Baltimore isn't THAT cold (not compared with Fargo, anyway) and it has fall and nice summers. I'm from Buffalo and I really, really miss seasons. It's stupid 70 degrees around here, but today and tomorrow it will rain, so it's more like 60.
