My (new!) husband's uncle John is notoriously cheap. My FIL asked me how much Uncle John gave and I told him that I couldn't tell him, because all I recorded was "cash" if it was a cash or check and I didn't record the amount.
He then asks to see the check, to which I answer "No, they've already been deposited." He then says I can get it from the deposit slip, to which I explain, no, I can't, because they all went in one big deposit.
He then asked for some other way to figure it out (I don't even remember what it was) and I snapped. I said "I didn't write it down because I'm not participating in your Smith family reindeer games! I'm Switzerland, the UN, or even your mom, whatever it takes, but I'm out."
How bad is it that I snapped at him after he badgered me for info that's not his business?
