Limewire?

Does/had anybody ever used Limewire for downloading music? Is the free version okay or is it better to shell out the money for the Pro version?

Thoughts, comments, raves/rants?

I used to use it.  I ended up with lots of viruses about the same time.  Not saying that LW was responsible but I sure did have a mess on my hands.

I use it, I don't get any viruses, i just use the free version.

If you're even remotely thinking of paying money, I would use Napster. It's clean, no application to download, and you can listen to a whole song before you buy it.

Thanks ladies! My H mentioned someone at his works used the paid version, which is why I was asking. I'll just make sure our anti-virus software is up to date before we download it.

I use it, no viruses.  You can download the Pro version for free somehow, H did it.

I use it and like it. Just make sure when you close it, you fully exit it (by right clicking on it in your toolbar and shutting it down). Otherwise, stuff can download without your permission and you will get some crap.

I've used it for a couple years now wih no issues.

When i had my pc i used to get a lot of viruses, but as of right now, I've been using it for two years and I haven't had any viruses *knock on wood*

I just use the free version.

I've used it for quite some time now, just make sure you have good virus software on your computer.  I've never had any virus's at all!
