Hello all. TGIF! Lucas was stuck in MD last night with my car, so I'll be missing work this morning. Just more hours I'll have to work tomorrow. Oh well. Should be a good day otherwise.

I hope your H is okay. I know the weather has been pretty treacherous. And missing work and sleeping in isn't a bad thing.

I am SOOOOOO glad it is Friday. I am so eager to fix some yummy meals this coming week along with the baking.

It is going to be a busy day: after work I have a few errands to run, then I have to work Parent's Night Out at our church tonight (won't be home until 12 midnight or so). Then tomorrow, I am sleeping in and getting some wrapping done. H is on call, so I suspect I will be home by myself most of the weekend.

Good Morning.  I woke up sick today.  I have so much to do this weekend to finish up Christmas preparations, that I can't be sick.  Plus Jocelyn's Christmas singing school thing is tomorrow.  Ugh.  On a brighter note - it could be worse.  At least I won't be sick on Christmas. 

My throat is on fire, my ears itch and my nose is a faucet.  Fun times. 

OH - and did I ever update you guys about my car?  no?  I didn't get the f*cker back yet.  First.  One of the parts that got shipped was wrong, so that held it up.  THEN.  yesterday - it was finally finished, they fire it up and the brand spankin new water pump they installed cracked.  They said they'd never seen anything like that before.  How many times am I going to hear - "we've just never seen anything like this before" while they fix this car!!!!!  So Monday is "supposedly" the new date.  I guess my new Christmas wish is for my car back since I haven't had it since Thanksgiving

Oh Stacks! That's terrible. I'm sorry you're sick and I'm sorry about your car. Feel better and may you get that car back in one piece!! And you know Jocelyn's going to rock!

I haven't left my  house yet. Which is stupid because I know it's icy out there and my commute is going to take longer than normal. But I don't wanna.

Poor Stacks. There is a ton of crap STILL going around. We have had high fevers and the stomach bug going around our school. I hope you feel better soon. What about some throat spray and a antihistime? I would say Benadryl but that sh!t knocks me out esp if you have to work today.

And that I can't believe you are still going through the crap with your car. Man, that has to be tough only having one car, or do you have a rental?

Nope - just one car.  And it's a 2 door.  So that's fun strapping a kid into the back seat every day.  I want my Charger back!!!!!  I told Trevor I was going to be one of those car owners that takes pictures with their car because I'll be so happy to have it back.   

I would soooo rather have a super bad cold as opposed to the stomach flu - so I'm definitely thankful for that.

OH - and Jocelyn's outfit for her school thing tomorrow is the cutest stinkin Christmas themed outfit I've ever seen.....so I'll definitely post some pictures.

He's from ALMOST Canada! He lives on the US side of the border, but most of his family live in Canadia. It's funny the difference a little border can make.

Sorry you're sick too. I am still getting over what I've had since last Tuesday.

We are heading up to H's hometown tomorrow for his mom's side's Christmas party, then Sunday we'll have breakfast with his dad & stepmom. Basically doing our "Christmas" with the in-laws this weekend. We should be home Sunday afternoon. Watch the football game, do laundry and decorate the tree!!

Good morning. Still trying to motivate myself out of bed. My monthly junk always makes me really tired (TMI?). At least I get to sleep in tomorrow! Sorry about you car and stuff, stacks. Stacks - that sucks about the car. I can't imagine being down a car for almost a month. Oh and feel better, being sick sucks! Aaaaannnnnd I can't wait to see Jocelyn in more cute holiday outfits!

Fische - have fun in Almost Canada. Be safe driving. You're off work for the Holidays now aren't you. I seem to remember you mentioning something about that but can't remember.

Missy - you should post pics of all of your wonderful cookings this week. I've got to make more cookies on Sunday.

Morning! I am SO freaking tired today. Going out night before last and then staying up stupidly late last night was not a good combo. But...

Good news #1: we had our first soccer practice yesterday with a bunch of girls from my company, and it was really fun. We want to join a league, which would be awesome. Even though it's contributing to the tired. And...

Good news #2: in case you didn't see me AW this in the evening thread last night, H made the team!!! That means he is on the first ever Chilean national handball team to qualify for the world championships and is going to Sweden to compete in January. Sadly I will not be going with, so I cannot attack Snippy (in the good way). I'm so proud of him, he really deserves this after all his hard work.

Em -- saw your news on FB, but congratulations to your H again!  That's so exciting!

I'm so glad it's Friday.  This week has seemed so long.  We're going up to MA tomorrow to see H's friends and family, but the weekend might get cut short if the snowstorm does decide to hit CT, instead of just grazing it, on Sunday evening.

Great job Mr Emily!!!  I'm also very jealous of your soccer team.  I really wanted to get in on an indoor team this winter but Mr Stack was sooooo over soccer from never getting a coaching break  that I figured I'd just sit this one out so we could have at least one season off of soccer in the house.

I made it to work, and you know what? That was one of the easiest commutes ever. Three cheers to the VA DOT for clearing and salting the roads (even the ones I expected to be ignored), and three more cheers to everyone who wasn't on the roads this morning. 

Emily that is amazing about your husband! It's too bad you can't go with him. :-( When are the championships?

Manda, they're January 13-30, but the team is going on the 3 to get acclimated and play some friendlies beforehand. They open the tournament against Sweden, and South American teams in general suck compared to European teams, so they're not expecting to win but are looking forward to the experience.

And then he and some friends are probably staying for the first week in Feb to travel around Europe. I'm not jealous, not at all.
